Academic Announcements:

Swim Test Waiver Reminder: IF you have already signed up to take the swim test waiver on Wed., Nov. 18—you MUST bring your photo ID and be at the pool, dressed and READY to swim at 8:00 on Wed., Nov. 18. Space is limited and does require you to sign up in the counseling office.

Spring 2010 Student Schedules will be available for students to view on Infinite Campus beginning Nov. 24. If you need to make any adjustments, you must print a copy of your schedule and plan to attend during an OFF HOUR in the Counseling Office on your Class scheduled day between 8:00 am to 2:00 pm: Seniors, Dec. 1-4; Juniors Dec. 7, Sophomores, Dec. 8 and Freshmen Dec. 9.


Special Events:

International Education Week, a celebration of internationalism at LHS and global learning and exchange, is coming to LHS next week. Be sure to check the calendars of events in the Front Lobby and on the Peace Jam bulletin board outside the Library to take advantage of learning opportunities through the International Film Festival and Speaker Series during your off hours.


Other Announcements:

Class rings will be delivered today from 10:30-12:30 in the Senior hallway. Pick up yours today! If you still wish to order a class ring, stop by the table for more information.

The second annual co-ed soccer tournament will take place on Thursday, Nov 19th in the stadium. To register a team, you must attend a sign up meeting today after school in Room 133E. You must have 2 boys and 2 girls on a team. See coach Banfield with any questions. Get a team together and sign up Today!!!

For all Juniors and Seniors interested in any branch of the military, there will be an opportunity at Littleton to take the ASVAB Test (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). This test helps determine which career path would be most successful for you as well as estimates what your ACT scores would be based on the ASVAB Score. Please see Ms. Geyer to sign up and get details by November 24th!

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to Riley Mulhern on his outstanding performance this past Saturday at the State Cross Country meet! He ran a great race to finish off his senior season - Congratulations!!!

Congratulations to the FBLA members who competed in the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge at the DU Cable Center. The stock market team of Eric Shunk, Brady Fossett, Kony Barrios, Lindsey Payson, and Ryan Dinneen finished in the top 5 in the competition with a 153% increase in their portfolio. They ended their day with a net worth of over 1.2 million dollars! Nice Job!

Speech and Debate had a great showing at the Douglas County Invite. Congratulations to Erin McConnell for winning 5th place in drama, Lilli Hokama for winning 4th place in drama, Morgan Gold for winning 2nd place in drama, Grant Jossi for winning 4th place in Oratory, Anne Smyrl for winning 5th place in foreign extempt, and Cassie Reid for winning 3rd place in Poetry and Marin Ricketson and Rebecca Astatke for winning 3rd in novice debate. Great Job!
