Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Although the LHS Lady Lionfish lost their dual meet to a strong Regis team yesterday, 134-52, congratulations are due to Katie Finley, Sidney Fitchett, Jen Speck, and Delaney Ellfeldt for qualifying the 400 yard free relay for the state meet. The Lady Fish will host Highlands Ranch next Thursday, Jan. 13th.

Speech and Debate team: we meet today, today, today!!! (in room 150 after school)

If you want to help plan and revive Balance club, please come to art room 143 Monday after school. Help us decide what to do this semester and do a little yoga.

There is an NHS meeting Monday January 10th in the forum at 2:20, all members please be there.

Sports Announcements:

Good luck to the girl’s basketball program as they travel to Kennedy tonight to take on the Commanders. Also, be sure to come out and support the girls tomorrow afternoon as they play Wheat Ridge here at LHS. C and JV teams play at 11:30 and varsity at 1:00. Go Lions!

ATTENTION ALL FRESHMEN—There will be NO advisement period this week. Again, NO Advisement period this week. Also, freshmen, please check your schedule to see if your advisement period has changed OR if you have been added to an advisement class. See you next week!!

PLAN and PSAT Test Results can be picked up in the Counseling Office. Reminder students can only pick up their own test results.

Attention Sophomore drivers: Tired of parking on the street? Getting tickets on street sweeping days? Well here’s your chance. Starting Monday January 10th we will be taking names in the bookkeeper’s office for parking spots. We have 75 spots to sell for $25.00 dollars, in the lower north lot and the far east row in the stadium lot, for the 2nd semester. If we have more drivers than spots we will hold a lottery, if we have more spots than drivers, everyone who signs up will get one. Please sign up even if you are not driving right away or you will not be eligible for the lottery.

Club Announcements:

FBLA members- there will be a mandatory meeting TODAY at 2:25 pm in room 124. Very important information will be given about our upcoming district competition. Please plan to attend. Officers you will have a short meeting after we are done...please plan on staying.

Welcome back Philosophers. I hope you had a restful and conscious break. Let's meet TODAY after school in Room 204 to chart our course for the semester. Anyone is welcome, even first-timers. Just be willing to come with an open mind. See you there.

TSA will meet TODAY at 2:30 in the Tech Lab. We will be confirming event sign up and teams will be finalized for state. All members attending state must attend, and be sure to see Mrs. Wilkins prior to the meeting if you cannot make it. See you there!
