Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Boy’s soccer teams for their wins last night over Douglas County HS – JV’s score was 2-1 and Varsity’s score was 3-1! Way to go LIONS!!

Congratulations to the LHS Ultimate Frisbee team on their first game and first win yesterday at Colorado Academy! Practice is at 3:00 on Monday; we would welcome more girls to our team!

Club Announcements:

Greetings Philosophers: Due to the homecoming parade and other festivities, Philosophy Club will NOT meet this Friday. Again, no Philosophy Club this week. See you next Friday.

Academic Announcements:

We have representatives from several colleges visiting our school this week. Sign up in Naviance, and then go to the Counseling office to attend the meetings. - Today, a representative from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Indiana will be here at 10 a.m. Tuesday, meet with a Boston College representative at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, representatives from Metro State College, Macalester College in Minnesota, and Tufts University in Massachusetts will be available.

Seniors: Space is filling up quickly for the FREE college essay workshop coming up on Saturday morning, October 8th in the Library. If you want to attend to get some extra help brainstorming your topic or reviewing your draft, sign up now in the Post Grad Center.

PSAT registration will begin Monday, Sept. 19. The test will be on Oct. 12 from 7:30-11:30 am. Cost is $20 non-refundable, cash or check made to LHS. Sign-up in the Counseling Office before Oct. 7.

Advisement for seniors with last names M-Z will be Wed., Sept. 21 beginning at 7:20 in the Business Hallway. Rosters with room assignments will be posted.

Special Events:

Last day of LHS Candyland Fun SCAVANGER HUNT!! – Today’s clue -: We finish where we started but on the other side, this place is not well known to the average eye. But if you are on the speech team you will know where to try. This is the final castle; Mr. Stedron knows it’s worth the hassle!

Today is our Homecoming pep assembly—time to show off your class t-shirts--the parade through downtown Littleton starts at 3pm - if you are not in a float come out and watch the fun! The tailgater starts at 6pm at the football stadium, only $3 for all you can eat!! The football game against Falcon High School from Colorado Springs is at 7pm and finally, the dance on Saturday from 8:00-11:00pm in the south gym!! Remember to bring your student ID for game and dance entry. Come and join the fun!!!

HOMECOMING TICKETS are on sale in the cafeteria during lunches today. They are $15 with a dollar off if you bring in a new school supply. Tickets WILL be sold at the door the night of the dance starting at 8pm for the same price.

Attention seniors! Senior pictures are due this today. Photos should be turned in to Mrs. Smith in room 140. If you have questions or concerns, please see Mrs. Smith.

Picture retake and make up day is Tuesday September 20th from 10:30-12:30 in the theater lobby. For picture retakes, bring your current picture package with you for exchange. For those who missed pictures in August, pictures will be taken for you to get a current student ID. Picture order envelopes are available in the main office. See Ms. Mortenson in the main office with any other questions.

If your family was unable to pick up your prepaid LHS Directory at Back-to-School Night, they will be available for pick up near the entrance gate prior to the 7:00 Homecoming Football game this Friday, September 16, as well as in the theatre lobby prior to the 7:00 Collage Choir Concert on Wednesday, September 21. Remember, if you are among the first 10 people to find the place all week—you will get a FREE HOMECOMING TICKET!! Here is the clue for today— Thursday’s clue: You will see those who keep our school clean, hidden in the woods of a child's dream, but it would make your dentist scream. It so sweet, you'll lick it clean. They're sweet on a stick, but eat too many, and you'll be sick.

Homecoming Dance Guest Forms are due today by 12:00 p.m. in Student Services office.

You'll have the chance to meet with the rep, ask questions, and get a lot of information and insight into Pepperdine University.

Then Thursday it’s time to cheer on the guys as they pass, set and spike their way to a volleyball championship! All games start at 2:45 and will be a blast!! Sign up sheets for volleyball and PowderPuff football are in the main office and library! HOMECOMING WEEK—IT CAN’T BE BEAT!!
