Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the following students who were selected to the 2012 Colorado All State Choir! James Bragg, Anthony Branum, Jared Giammanco, Reine Ibala, Megan Irvine, and Kim Stanish.

Congratulations to the top two ACTS of Lions Follies: finishing in second was the Junior Skit—“Miscommunication” and finishing first overall was Mehoo on his guitar!! Way to go LIONS!

Club Announcements:

Ink magazine meets on Thursdays in room 109. We have the chill-est teacher around holding it down every week, Mr. Alex Spare. Come to talk about good books and good music and help put together the annual literary magazine. See you on Thursday, December 1st!

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

If you missed the 1st annual LPS Poetry Slam, you missed the beginning of a beautiful tradition. Four of the top 5 places went to Littleton Lions. Congratulations to third place winner Alexander Khan, 2nd place winner Julian Allen, and our first ever district poetry slam champion, Cameron Bain-Faus. Remember, it's not about the points, it's about the poetry. Make sure you get out there and chug some poetry with us next time. Way to go LIONS!

Stop by the International Market today in the front lobby where you can purchase goods from Uganda, South Africa, the Congo and Rwanda - just to name a few. The prices are very reasonable and all the profits go directly to the women and children who make the goods. So come often to purchase amazing items for a worthy cause!

Ping pong club will be canceled today and will resume after break on November 29th!

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the 52 members of the LHS Speech and Debate team who competed this weekend in the Cherry Creek Challenge. Littleton came in 2nd overall out of 23 schools, with 14 members of our team competing in and ranking in Finals. They were:

Tres Pittman and Daniel Thomas, who ranked 1st in CX Debate.
Bret Maney, who ranked 1st in Original Oratory.
Ben Fisk, who ranked 1st in Humor Interpretation.
Hanna Le, who ranked 2nd in Original Oratory.
Meredith Maney, who ranked 3rd in Original Oratory.
Rachael Riley, who ranked 4th in Drama Interpretation.
Maddie Chandler, who ranked 5th in Lincoln-Douglas Debate
Joyce Jowers, who ranked 6th in Original Oratory
Charlotte Grimm, who ranked 6th in Drama Interpretation
and Jackson Schwartz and Ryan Dineen, who ranked 6th in Improv Pairs.

The entire team did an outstanding job, and Ms. Solis and Mr. Stedron are so proud of you!

Academic Announcements:

On Monday 14 November there will be a general info meeting for everyone interested in auditioning for the musical, Guys and Dolls! ...Sigh, remember when men were guys and women were dolls? Us neither, but it's one heck of a fun show! The meeting is today after school in the theatre, and auditions are the Monday after Thanksgiving break. If you cannot attend the meeting, all info will be on the callboard outside of 146!

Hey students, ever wonder how you can help folks less fortunate than you in other countries? Tomorrow during International Week there will be an International Market in the front lobby where you can buy goods from Uganda, South Africa, the Congo and Rwanda - just to name a few.
