Student Recognition & Congratulations:

The 2012 girls tennis season started last night with a win over Rock Canyon High School by a score of 4 to 3. Seniors Quin Bowman and Katie Pearson lead the charge with decisive victories. Many newcomers to the program, including Junai Testa, Lucia Martinez, Destini Marshall, and Rachel Pearson, contributed greatly to the win as well. We are off to a good start, so congratulations to the team.

Congratulations Boys Lacrosse. Both Varsity and JV teams had big wins this week. Varsity defeated Rangeview 12-1 and Prairie View 14-1. JV defeated Rangeview 7-3 and Prairie View 9-1. Both teams take on Grandview this Saturday. Good luck and GO LAX LIONS!!

The girls varsity soccer team defeated George Washington HS 2-1 yesterday. Goals from Carli Murray and Carina Stavish with both assists from Lindsey Payson sealed the win. Next game is Saturday morning at Englewood at 11am.

The JV boys lacrosse team continued its winning streak with a 9-1 thrashing of Prairie View. Charlie Hindman's hat trick led the way for the Lions, while Joe Timm recorded an impressive four assists.

Come out and support your LHS Baseball team this afternoon at 4:00 on the LHS field.

Take Charge of Education Program
Target Visa, Credit and Debit Card holders, we need your help! All you have to do is shop! Target’s Take Charge of Education program donates 1% of your purchase to Littleton High School whenever you shop at Target and pay with your Target Visa, Target Credit card or Target Debit card. However, you must designate Littleton High School as your school of choice. You may do this either online or over the phone. Online, click on the Manage Your Account tab and follow the steps to designate Littleton High School or you may call 1-800-316-6142 and press 1, you will then speak to a customer service representative who will take your information. It’s as easy as that.

Every time you use your card or cards at Target we will receive 1% of the total from your purchases; if you use your Target Visa card elsewhere, we will receive ½ % from your purchase. 1% does not sound like a lot but look at the numbers. Currently 54 people have Littleton High School designated as their school. This year, we received a check for $815.48, last year $964.28. We have over 1300 students at our school. If we can triple the number of families participating, that would triple the donation Target makes to LHS. This money supplements our many programs that make Littleton High School such a great school.

Please take a moment to designate Littleton High School and thank you to the 54 families who are already supporting LHS through the Take Charge of Education program.
