Academic Announcements:

Registration for 2013-2014 for all in-building students will be for Current 10th graders during their Social Studies classes on March 4, 5.  Current 9th graders will be on March 6, 7 during their Language Arts Classes.  Copies of all four grade levels of the registration cards can be viewed on the LHS website under the Counseling tab. 

REMINDER:  Students wanting to participate in the LPS concurrent enrollment next year MUST have their applications completed by March 6.  Please see Mr. Puchino in the Counseling Office with any questions.

The LHS Swim Waiver Test will be held on Wed., March 13 during two separate sessions, 8:00 am or 9:00 am.  Each session is limited to 30 students; therefore you must attend the session you register for.  Students can sign up in the Counseling Office by 2 pm on March 12.  A skills criteria sheet is available at the time you sign up. 

Sport Announcements:

All athletes participating in a spring sport and their parents should plan to attend the important parent/player meeting on Monday, March 4 in the North Gym at 6 pm.  Important information regarding Lions Sports Booster Club, the Athletic Code of Conduct, and other integral aspects of the LHS Athletic Program will be discussed.  See you there and GO LIONS!!

All Unified Basketball Partners...Don’t forget our banquet will be Monday, March 4th at 6:00pm in the cafeteria.  Please bring your money and RSVP to Mrs. Stukey or Mrs. Enicinias by Friday.

Special Events:

Legally Blonde the Musical will be on the Mane Stage tonight at 7pm and Saturday at 1:00pm and 6:00pm.  Tickets are available at the box office during A and B lunches, 6th period and after school. $7.00 for students and $10.00 for adults, Wear pink when you purchase your ticket and receive $1 off each ticket purchased!

Buy your gift cards for the Black Eyed Pea, 5 Star Burger, Olive Garden or Frank the Pizza King  and cover the entertainment aspect of your evening by purchasing your Regal movie tickets at the same time. Available at parent /teacher conferences on Tuesday, March 5th.  Thanks for supporting after prom!

Support LHS Performing Arts/Encore next Wednesday, March 6, by eating at Chili's restaurant, Southwest Plaza location, 8450 W. Cross Drive, Littleton, anytime that day.  Flyers will be available at the LHS Attendance Desk or you can simply tell them you are with Littleton High School and Chili's will donate 10% of all purchases back to LHS Performing Arts/Encore.  Thank you for supporting the students at Littleton High School.  Hope to see you there!

Students who are planning to take AP exams can pay for their exams in the counseling office through March 31.  Students must first complete and print a copy of the AP survey on their Naviance account to bring with them when paying for their exams.  You must bring a check made out to LHS or pay cash at the time of registration.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Zerr in the counseling Office.

Attention all Juniors!  Through mid-April, every LHS Junior will be required to attend a "Small Group Meeting" in the Post Grad Center.  You will be introduced to the college application process that we follow here at Littleton.  Your meeting will be 45 minutes long during an OFF period.  You will receive a note in class telling you the date and time of your meeting.  Remember, these meetings are mandatory for all Juniors.

Key Club is meeting today at 2:20 in room 126.  We will be planning our upcoming CUBUFFoons benefit concert.  Bring friends!

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) would like to invite you to our club meeting today at 2:20 in room 102.  Hope to see you there!

HIP HOP will meet today after school in the Forum from 2:30 to 3:30.

Tomorrow, all poems, photos, art pieces, short stories, essays, song lyrics, anything artistic is due for the LHS INK Magazine.  Please email all work to Ms. Fletcher or submit it to one of the various INK submission boxes located in language arts and art classrooms.

Congratulations to the girls basketball team on making the playoffs!  The girls will travel to Boulder tonight to take on 6th seeded Fairview at 6:30.  Good luck ladies!

Junior Advisement on Late Start Wednesday, Feb. 27 (that’s tomorrow), students whose last name begins with A-L should report to the Business Hallway by 7:20. Room assignments are currently posted on the bulletin board outside the Counseling Office, and will also be posted outside the rooms on Wed.  Students whose last name begins M-Z should report the Forum at 7:20.

Tonight’s the night! Have dinner at Merle’s Restaurant in downtown Littleton, mention you are from Littleton High School, and 10% f proceeds will help pay for a special after-prom event for our students in April. Thanks in advance for supporting this PTO sponsored event!

•    A safe and secure environment.
•    Parental and school chaperons.
•    A venue that for only $10 will provide hours of entertainment and food at Brunswick Zone.
•    An opportunity to create a memorable high school experience

We would like to thank our local business who will be mentioned  in  the following  days announcements. The cost of providing After Prom is about $10,000. Without the help of our generous businesses and parents, we could not provide this opportunity for our children.

Student Recognition & Congratulations:


TSA had an awesome state competition.  They pulled off a hard fought first place even though 3 other schools had more students than us. The following students qualified for nationals which takes place in Orlando Florida in late June: Michael Baker, Will Banfield, Steve Beery, EB Bollendonk, Nathan Carmine, Charlie Craig, Joe Encinias, Jacob Fuchs, Aaron Graham, Ben Hanson, Anna Hessler, Michael Hoeft, Kiera Lindgren, Joe Maguire, Elena Mathys, Rollin Poe, Lucas Sorensen, Sydney Stetzel, Kelsey Vandenberg, Dakota Wilkins; Jacy Woodman. Also congratulations to Joe Maguire; Will Banfield for being elected to State officers.  That Makes them Eleven time state champions!!  Great job by all TSA members, if you see them wearing their shirts give them a high 5!

Attention Juniors! Sorry you can’t sleep on Wednesday even though it's a late start Wednesday, because your MANDATORY “Junior Advisement” session and selection of your classes for next year will take place that morning…Wednesday morning… here at school beginning at 7:20 a.m. Remember, no bus transportation will be provided to get you here for Junior Advisement.  If you have questions, stop by the Post Grad Center.

ATTENTION all Student Council members who signed up to do the Dr. Seuss Read Across America Event, there is a MANDATORY meeting today in room 209 right after school.  You MUST be there if you want to do this fun event.  Please see Ms Prestel if you have any questions

Littleton/Heritage Girls lacrosse tryouts will be held today, February 25th through Wednesday February 27th at 6:30 PM.  Tryouts will be at Foothills Indoor Sports Arena located at Hampden and Kipling.  All are welcome, even if you've never played before.

A new session of the Littleton Citizen’s Police Academy is set to begin on Thursday, March 7th. We will meet every Thursday for 11 weeks.  This is a great opportunity to learn the operations of the Littleton Police department. If you are interested please stop by and see our school resource officer, Tim Fisher.  If you have friends or neighbors who may be interested have them visit the City of Littleton website.

Hello everyone! Mark your calendar for Tuesday, February 26 to join fellow LHS parents at Merle’s Restaurant in downtown Littleton. Take the night off from cooking and help our PTO after-prom fundraising efforts. 10% of dinner proceeds will be donated to our April event. Just let your server know you are from Littleton High School. Thanks for supporting after-prom!

Attention Juniors!   Each LHS Junior will meet in the Post Grad Center during an OFF hour at some time between late February and mid-April.  These meetings will introduce students to our online college research, planning and application tool, "Naviance", and will help students begin their own process for planning for their "Life After Littleton".  The meetings are 45 minutes in length, and will have about 6 students plus 3 trained adult volunteers plus a Post Grad staff member. Juniors, you'll receive a note in class informing you of your meeting date and time, as well as a reminder phone call to the phone number on record.  If you have questions, please contact the Post Grad Center.
