Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Academic Announcements:

Attention all Littleton HS students – Today will be class periods 6 and 8! The Library will be open for academic study only.  The cafeteria will be open all day and lunch will be served.  Students will not be permitted to be in the hallways.

AP signup reminder!! Students planning to take an AP test this spring must complete their survey on their Naviance account, print and bring with the correct payment, cash or check, for their AP tests to the Counseling office NO later than 3 pm on March 21.  Please see Mrs. Zerr in Counseling with any questions. 

Club Announcements:

Attention all speech and debate team members.  We will have a brief meeting in room 110 today after school.  All members must attend.  See Mr. Saliman if you have any questions.

Are you in the St. Patrick's Day spirit!?  If not, Student Council is going to help get you there!  StuCo is having a St. Patrick's Day Scavenger Hunt to find the Lucky Leprechaun!  If you are one of the first 3 people to find the Leprechaun and tell him the answer to the following question and your answer is correct--you will win a PRIZE!  Here is the question:  In what year did the US hold its first celebration of St. Patrick's Day as a Catholic Holiday?  The Lucky Leprechaun is a student at LHS and is somewhere in the building--find him and tell him the correct answer and you are a winner!  Have fun!!

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and General Council members, we have a General Council meeting on Monday March 18th at 2:20 in the Forum--committee reports will be heard and we are getting our Lip Dub ideas organized--so see you there!!

The second annual LHS Performing Arts Music & Craft Fair will be tomorrow from 9am-4pm in the LHS Cafeteria and South Gym.  Bring your friends, neighbors, & relatives and do some great shopping from our very talented vendors, and hear wonderful music from our own LHS Performing Arts students throughout the day. $1 Admission (kids 5 & under FREE).  Looking forward to seeing you there!

Sports, Clubs and Organizations - If you are participating in the Lip Dub, your coach or advisor should have received a packet detailing what part of the school you will be in for the video, and what part of the songs you will be lip syncing.  You can also find this information in the math hallway, near the cafeteria, and by the Math and Language Arts offices.  Please see Mr. Decker or Allie Horvat with any questions.

Attention Seniors!!  Begin preparing your speech now.  The Graduation Speech Committee will hear all speeches, including yours, on April 9th at 2:30 p.m.  You may sign up for your speech time in advance at the front desk of the main office.  Sign-ups will be posted between March 18th and 22nd.

Any student who is able to login to the computers with their first initial/last name MUST save all of their documents to a flash drive before Spring Break.  During Spring Break, the server will be replaced.  When you return to LHS after Spring Break, you will no longer be able to login using your first initial/last name and therefore, won't be able to get to any of your documents.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Lenz in the Library.

Congratulations to Ian Cox, Elsie Mangum and Casey Thomson for their outstanding performances at the City Challenge on Tuesday night. All three athletes broke into the LHS all time top ten best performances. Way to go Lions!!!!

Academic Announcements:

Attention all Littleton HS students – Today will be class periods 5 and 7! Freshmen and sophomores will report tomorrow for TCAP testing.   TCAP rosters are posted in the main hallway and the hallway outside the Counseling Office for all 9-10 grade students.  Juniors and Seniors will report to class at 12noon.  Bus transportation will run normally in the morning and again at four hour delay.  The Library will be open for academic study only.  The cafeteria will be open all day and lunch will be served.  Students will not be permitted to be in the hallways. 



TCAP and CALCULATORS for FRIDAY!!! 9th and 10th grade student please remember to bring your calculator for TCAP testing on Friday, March 15.  Please note, only Scientific or graphing allowed. Types of calculators NOT allowed include:  TI-89, TI-92 cell phone calculators.  For a more complete listing of the type of calculators NOT allowed, please check the hot pink list by the rosters listed in the main lobby or outside of counseling.  You may also stop by the counseling office and ask. 
Lockheed Martin Tutoring will not be available this week due to TCAP testing.

Student Recognition & Congratulations:


Lions varsity baseball off to a good start! Junior pitcher Chris Jansky was great on Thursday, throwing a no-hitter in Lions' 3-0 victory over Denver North. No Denver North batter was able to locate Jansky's pitches during the game. Jansky threw a no-hitter, striking out 13 batters and walking one while recording his momentous feat. Lions stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring one run on an error.  Lions increased its lead with two runs in the fourth. A single by freshmen Dylan Nickless ignited the offense, plating senior Colton Barrett.

Lions Baseball is back in action this week. 
Varsity plays tomorrow, 4:00PM @ Greeley West, and Thursday 4:30PM @ Rampart. 
JV plays Greeley West @ LHS Friday 4:00PM, and Saturday 1:30PM @ LHS vs Rampart. 
C team plays Greeley West @ LHS Friday 6:30PM, and Saturday 11:00AM @ LHS vs Rampart.

Dear LHS parents!  Thank you for your support of After Prom on the night of parent/teacher conferences.   We sold the majority of the gift cards, thanks to you!  We still have 70 Regal/United movie tickets that are available.  They can be purchased for $10.00 each at the book keeper's office from 2:00pm-3:30pm after school for the next two weeks. Please remember to make the check out to LHS after prom and that this is a tax deductible donation. We could not have this fun event without you.  Thanks again!

Last year we worked on beautifying the library… this year we’re working on the cafeteria…If you have any green silk plants you’d like to donate to LHS, the “Green Thumb” team will be tackling the cafeteria planters this spring. As you do your spring cleaning over the next few months, any greenery you don’t need any more can be used for our project. Bring to Therese in the main office, and we will put your “used” green silk plants to good use! Thanks in advance for helping with the cafeteria project. Questions? Littleton's Speech & Debate team competed in the regional qualifying tournament over the weekend.  Please congratulate Stephanie Kern-Allely for qualifying for the state tournament in Poetry Interpretation as well as the team of Ryan Famiglietti (Fam-Mill-Ee-Etty) and Kelly Dineen who qualified in Policy Debate.  Scartlett Del Guidice (Joo-Ditch-Ee) was also selected as an alternate for Original Oratory.  Please cheer Stephanie, Ryan, and Kelly on as they get ready for the state tournament on March 22nd and 23rd!
