Special Events:

We are hosting the NASA's Orion Project presentation TODAY during A and B lunch in the Forum.  In case you don't know, Orion is NASA's new exploration spacecraft, designed to carry astronauts to destinations in deep space...and our NASA presenter is a LHS grad! Come to the Forum during either lunch period to expand your mind!

Attention Students:  The Yearbooks are HERE!  If you pre-purchased a yearbook, you may pick it up after school on Monday, May 11 at 2:15 in the south gym.  If you did not pre-order your yearbook, it is not too late to get one, but you need to hurry.  We will have a limited number of books available for sale for $75 from the book keeper starting at 7a.m. on Tuesday, May 12.

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Good Luck to our Varsity Baseball team who travels to Pueblo tomorrow for districts.  They will play the Windsor Wizards in the first round.

Good Luck to our Varsity Girls Soccer team who hosts Discovery Canyon here tomorrow at 11 am in the stadium.  Remember this is a CHSAA state play-off game, so cost is $5 for students, $7 for adults.  Your school activity pass is not accepted.  Come cheer on the girls!

Club Announcements:

If you picked up a Student Council officer election packet, they are due TODAY to Ms. Prestel.  You can put them in her box in the main office, on her desk in the Social Studies office or in her room-209.  But, they must be in today or you will not be able to run for office.  Speeches are due on Monday 11th.  Good luck!

A reminder to all National Honor Society students - the final NHS meeting of the year is Monday, May 11th.  This is a mandatory meeting so please be there!

Attention returning speech and debate members.  We have a mandatory meeting on Tuesday in the speech room.  This won't take long, but all returning students who wish to compete next year need to be there.

Academic Announcements:

Seniors, please check the list outside of the Bookkeeper's window to see if you have any fees or fines to pay.  You can also check in Infinite Campus under the fees tab.  You must have a zero balance to do your Senior exit interview and to receive your Cap & Gown.

National Honor Society agenda for Monday, May 11th:
Juniors if you are interested in a running for an officer position you need to come prepared to give a short speech explaining your interest in the position and why you believe you would be a good candidate.
Also, all members should bring your signed volunteer hours sheet, as well as your tutoring documentation form.
Please see Ms. Fritz or Mr. Hahn if you have any questions.

Congrats to the following athletes who earned all-league honors at the League Prelim Track Meet last night:

  • Aron Pino -League Champion in Discus
  • Kaysha Kacanda - 2nd place in Triple Jump
  • Boys 4x8 relay Colin Cannon, Bruce Barnstable, Tommy Kail, Charlie Meserve -3rd place 
  • Hugo Ogilive -3rd place in Pole Vault
  • Other placers were: Tyler Woodard, Bobbi Pettit, Madeline McKinney, Brittany Line, Andrew Smith, Addi Iken, Magda Van Lueewen, Clemence Auzias, Elizabeth Rothrock, Anthony Stroup, Emelyn Albright, Ally Leith, Mali Vanderleest, and Sarrelle Schulthesis.

More great performances to come on Saturday at league finals!

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity soccer team on their 5-0 play off win over Denver North HS last night.  Carli Murray had 2 goals, Taylor Hancock, Samantha Sanson and Katie Puchino had the others. Laura Puchino had 2 assists and goalkeeper Shayna Watkins had the shutout.  Thanks to all the people who came to watch. The girls are now on to the round of 16 in the stadium on Saturday against Discovery Canyon.

Congratulations to the 12 DECA students who traveled to Orlando, Florida last week for the International Career Development Conference.  Special congratulations to Maddi Hornsby for qualifying for top 20 in Creative Marketing Campaign, Kelly Dinneen for qualifying for top 10 in Business Finance, and the team of David Levin and Zach Moorman who qualified top 10 in Marketing Communications Team Decision Making.

Attention Students--if you ordered a Make A Wish t-shirt and have not paid for it yet, please do so in the next week or so.  Student Council students will be delivering your shirts to you in class in the next couple of days.  The bookkeeper will take payment before and after school starting TODAY.  Thanks so much for supporting Make  A Wish, we have reached $9000 of our $10,000 goal!!

There is still time to pick up your Student Council election packet!  Come out and join the most active club in the school!!  Packets are available in the main office and on Ms Prestel's desk in the Social Studies office.

The Model UN, World, and Colorado Clubs will meet Wednesday at 2:20 pm in Room 206. Key topics for discussion will be the Colorado Model UN Conference Calendar and Vancouver, B.C. Model UN Conference trip for next year, and World and Colorado Club planning for next year.

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Women's Soccer  C team on their come from behind win 3-2 over Dakota Ridge!  A great team effort to finish the season with Allie Puckett scoring the winning goal in the final 10 seconds of regulation. All the best to Varsity this week in state playoffs!

Both your guys and girls Lion Ultimate teams finished their seasons placing third at state this weekend. We will miss our seniors next year! By now you know that Littleton has an awesome Ultimate program. We have lots of room for growth, so please consider coming out next year!
