STUDENT BULLETIN

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

The Boys basketball JV and C-Team took on Heritage on Wednesday night. Both teams played hard but came up short in the end. The coaches would like to recognize freshman Matt Friedberg on the C-Team and Nico Corradino on the JV for their outstanding effort.

Special Events:

Jazz In The Lobby today after school.  Come by and soak-in some Holiday Cheer.

The Instrumental Music Holiday Concert is on Tuesday, December 8th at 7pm in the Theater.  The LHS Orchestra, Symphonic Winds and Jazz Ensemble are all scheduled to perform your Holiday favorites.  Concert begins at 7pm and Admission is FREE.

The Giving Snowman is HERE!  Head down towards the cafeteria and pick your snowflake off the Giving Snowman so you can buy a gift for an orphan at the Musana School in Uganda-which was started by two LHS Alums!

Calling ALL performers with or without musical experience! We would love to see you this Saturday, December 5th from 9am to noon on the Mane Stage.

Attention All Students!  Did you order your yearbook?  The deadline to reserve your copy is Friday, December 18!  Don't miss out on all the memories from the school year.  Get to the book keeper this week and order your yearbook!

Seniors - Jostens is here TODAY for graduation deliveries. They will be in the Senior hall from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Club Announcements:

Key Club!  Our Colorado Feeding Kids food pack event is this Saturday.  If you would still like to participate, you MUST bring your permission slip to Ms. Anthamatten TODAY.  We are also committed to providing 33 holiday baskets for kids at East Elementary School.  Please check the sign up lists on Mr. Hahn's door or Ms. Anthamatten's door and bring a small gift or a children's book if you can.  We also need candy, toiletries, and gift bags and boxes.  Bring everything to our meeting on Thursday 10th.

The newest issue of INSPIRLIONS is now available on-line. Click on the cover icon on the school web page to access this collection of your classmates' writing, artwork, and photography. And plan now to send your poems, stories, drawings and photos for inclusion in our next issue.

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and general council members, we have a GenCo meeting on Monday Dec. 7th, in the forum starting at 2:20.  This is our last one of the semester so we will be doing evaluations of all members; please make sure you are there! Thanks.

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to all participants in the rescheduled International Week soccer tournament played yesterday in the stadium. The winners, representing the African Nation of Kenya, were undefeated in tournament play. The team members were Colin Cannon, Magda Van Leeuwen, Tyler Fuller, Hammadi Ali Abid, Claudia Kramer and Sergio Lujan. Great job everyone!

Sports Announcements:

TONIGHT the Boys Basketball team has their home opener against Prairie View at 7pm.  Don’t miss the excitement.  Let’s show our support and pack the gym!

Students, just a friendly reminder that e-mails will be going out this afternoon to inform your parents if you are failing one or more classes.  Remember to log-in to IC to check your academic progress!

For students needing help in Math & Science, Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here TONIGHT from 6:00-7:30pm in room 1740.  Please use the forum entrance.

Please join us in room #1218 TODAY at 2:20 for our Gay Straight Alliance club meeting. Everyone is welcome...refreshments will be served! Again, that's the art hallway, room #1218.

Hey guys! There is a TSA meeting at 2:20 TODAY in the Tech Lab! Please don't miss it. Remember if you haven't paid your dues you need too! We will be handing out state paperwork and giving updates on events. Bring projects to work on because the Tech Lab will be open until 4.

FBLA members, there is a meeting TODAY at 2:20 pm in room 1977.  We will be working on our projects for districts.  See you then!

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the LHS Choir Department!  7 students were selected to sing in the Colorado All State Choir.  Anna Sonju, Kailu Shannon-Frolich, Amanda Staab, Mark Young, Emma Olson, Emily Sanders and Grant Bowman.

Congratulations to our Girls varsity basketball team who defeated our rival Heritage for the 4th straight season last night!  Senior Gabbie Matl led the way with 15 points and 6 rebounds and sophomore Katie Puchino added 10 points as well.  Great way to start off the season!  Come out to support the team Thursday night at Mullen and Saturday afternoon vs. Thomas Jefferson at LHS!

STUDENT BULLETIN

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Three LHS runners competed last week in the Nike Cross Regionals in Arizona.  Addi Iken ran in the championship race and set a new personal record of 18:54.  Colin Cannon finished seventh in the medium-sized school boys’ race also in a personal-best time of 16:07.  Bruce Barnstable was 90th in the same race in 17:25. Congratulations to that trio of Lions representing LHS on a national stage!
