STUDENT BULLETIN

Special Events:

VAL O GRAMS are here!!  Want to send something special to a friend, a sweetheart or someone you have a crush on?  Well, just find a Student Council member and you can send that person a Val-O-Gram and a box of candy for ONE dollar!  They will be on sale until Thursday February 11th. Check out the cafeteria starting next week, where we will have students selling during both lunches.  Give someone a Happy Valentines!

Club & Activity Announcements:

ATTENTION NHS MEMBERS! We have our mandatory monthly meeting on Monday, 2/8 right after school in the forum. We will be taking our yearbook picture, so please plan to attend. See you all then!

Attention all students interested in yearbook.  You MUST participate in an interview.  Please go to Mrs. Fisher's desk in the language arts office today to sign up for your group interview time. Interviews will be held Monday and Tuesday after school.

Academic Announcements:

PSAT test scores are available for pick up in the Counseling Office.
Registration for the 2016-2017 school year will be in the Forum during A or B lunch as follows:
Current 10th graders for junior year                February   8 & 9
Current 9th graders for sophomore year        February 11 & 12
Current 11th graders for senior year               February 16 & 17

Practice ASVAB test (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is Wednesday, February 17th in Room 1610 at 2:20pm.  The test is free of charge and all students are welcome!  Sign up in the Counseling office by Friday, February 12th.  Approximate end -time is 3:15 pm.

Other Announcements:

Littleton High School will be rolling out our brand new website next week!  The new website is user-friendly and showcases the amazing students, faculty and community here at LHS.  We have updated and reorganized information, and the site is easy to navigate.  Once we go live, if you have questions please contact the Main Office for assistance.

Blog Announcements:

LHS Booster Club meeting will be Monday, February 8 at 7pm in the Forum.  LHS Athletic Director, Preston Davis, will be discussing a new direction for the Booster Club and how it will support LHS athletics in the 2016-2017 school year.  Also come to learn more about the first annual LHS car show scheduled for September 25, and the Booster Club social at Felt on March 14.  All parents and coaches are encouraged to attend.

Harlem Wizards are coming to town! February 12th @ 7pm don't miss the Harlem Wizards vs the Littleton Legends. These super-star basketball players will show their skills, drills and tricks against Littleton teachers, staff & high school students. This fun evening will be held at the LHS gym. Buy your tickets NOW!   Tickets are available to purchase online and in the Athletic Office. Students we would like to share information with you about the Colorado State Assessments for this year.  Due to the late decisions made by the state legislature, not all of the details have been finalized. We will share information with you in a timely manner.

What we do know:
Freshmen will take the PARCC test in English Language Arts and Math.  This test is online and will be given April 19 - 21.
Sophomores will take the PSAT on April 20.  This test is paper/pencil and will not qualify students for National Merit.
Juniors will take the ACT on April 19 and PARCC Science on April 21.  ACT is paper/pencil, while PARCC will be online.  **** Juniors who are interested in receiving a voucher to take the ACT+ Writing, must sign up in the LHS Counseling Office by this Friday, February 5. That test will be given off campus on April 9.

Testing will be done in the morning, we will have a lunch period, and classes will be held after lunch. More details to come about bell schedule, bus times, and Room assignments.  Stay Tuned!

TONIGHT is the last home match for the wrestling team.   We battle Standley Lake starting at 7 o’clock.   Please join us as we honor our graduating seniors as they take the mat for the last time.  Remember, 7 pm TONIGHT.   It is the place to be.

If you applied for newspaper for next year, be sure to come to the group interview session TODAY after school at 2:30 in room 1102. This is a mandatory interview. If you have questions, please see Miss Kron.

The Model UN Club will meet TODAY in Room 2609 at 2:20 pm. Any students who are planning on and or interested in participating in the March 2-5 National High School Model UN Conference in New York should attend.

Hey guys!  There is a TSA meeting TODAY in the Tech Lab. This meeting is mandatory for every member going to state! Do not miss it! It starts at 2:20. Only 2 weeks until state!

There will be an FCCLA meeting TODAY in room 1972 (Culinary room). The State Conference forms and registration fee are due that day.

Gay-Straight Alliance will meet TONIGHT in the art Hallway, room 1218, after school.

For students needing help in Math & Science, Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here TONIGHT from 6:00-7:30pm in room 1740.  Please use the forum entrance.

Attention Seniors...If you need money for college, remember to regularly visit the scholarship bulletin board in the Language Arts hallway.  If you see something that interests you come to Post Grad to pick up more information about how to apply.

Also for Seniors...Many of you are already receiving responses from colleges you've applied to.  It's important that you go onto Naviance and update the "results" column under "Colleges I'm Applying To". Accepted? Denied? Waitlisted?  Do this so that we can send your transcript updates to the schools.
