Academic Announcements:

Attention Juniors and Seniors!  An admissions representative from Colby Community College in Colby, Kansas, will visit LHS on Tuesday, March 1st, at 9:00am.  Please sign up on your Naviance account to attend.

Students who are interested in a Teaching Career or Early Childhood Education – Please come to a recruitment lunch with free pizza on Thursday, March 3 during A & B lunches in the Post Grad office to learn more about LPS Teacher Cadets and ECE Programs.  See the flyers throughout the building for more details.  Please RSVP by March 2 if you plan to attend.

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and general council members, we have a General Council meeting on Monday Feb. 29th in the forum at 2:20.  PLEASE make sure you are there because we are getting our Yearbook pictures taken plus setting up all of our Make-a-Wish plans and committees!

Unified Partners our annual tournament at Chatfield High School is Saturday, please arrive by 9:00am.  Also please RSVP to Ms. Encinias or Ms Stukey for the banquet by the end of the day TODAY.

Hello LHS Parents!  We have our final Student Recognition Breakfast for 2015-2016 school year coming up on Thursday, March 3 and need help with donations.  This is a by invitation only event where teachers award select students special recognition in areas of academics, participation, and/or outstanding efforts.

Oh, how ADOREABLE!!!  Parents of senior students.... we need a baby/toddler photograph of your senior to include in a memorable slideshow presentation for after-prom at Brunswick Zone. The After-prom committee will assemble baby photos, along with senior photographs, to honor our 2016 graduating class in a very special video montage. Please email a jpg image (please include the name of your senior in the email correspondence) to Barb Fantle at bjtfantle@gmail.com.  Our committee will need these baby photos no later than March 31 to have them ready for the slideshow at after-prom. STUDENT BULLETIN

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the LHS DECA students who competed at the State Leadership Conference this weekend at the Broadmoor hotel in Colorado Springs.  45 students made the trip, and 17 different students qualified for finals in their events, and an additional 9 students received honorable mentions.

Congratulations to the following 10 students who qualified for the International Career Development Conference in Nashville, TN this April.

The LHS Science Bowl Team competed at the Colorado Regional High School Science Bowl this past Saturday and gave a tremendous debut effort which resulted in a strong finish. Great job!

Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted.

Concurrent Enrollment paperwork needs to be turned into Mr. Puchino by the end of the day of TODAY!

Attn: current 9th through 11th graders you must complete your on-line registration process and submit your registration cards to the Counseling Office by the end of the school day tomorrow, February 24.

Attention ALL Juniors – You have a MANDATORY “Junior Advisement” session on tomorrow, which is a late start Wednesday.   All Juniors are required to attend this Junior Advisement session. Students with last names beginning with A-L need to report to your assigned classroom at 7:20am. Last names beginning with M-Z report to classrooms at 8:05am for a prompt 8:15am start. If you have questions, stop by Post Grad.

Josten's will be here Thursday February 25, 2016 from 10:00 to 1:00 in the senior hall to deliver announcements and mugs.

Club & Activity Announcements:

If you are interested in participating in LHS Color Guard our first clinic is TODAY from 6-8pm.  No previous experience needed.  Everyone is welcome!!!  Please arrive 10 minutes early to the main lobby dressed in workout attire and with a water bottle. All equipment will be provided.

Attention all Student Council members who have signed up to do Read Across America, there is a MANDATORY meeting on Wednesday in room 2618, Ms Prestel's room, right after school to talk about what you are doing and which elementary school you have been assigned.  PLEASE be at this meeting, it will be very short, but essential for this event!!

STUDENT BULLETIN

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to all of our TSA members, it was a great weekend of competition, fun and friendship!  13 qualified to attend Nationals in Nashville, TN in June.  Marylou Barrios, Pieter VanLeewan, Raquel Walker, Jack Gore, Anne Mashak, Kiefer Wilkins, Lex Graham, Connell Smith, Matt Calkins, Sophie Engeman, Rollin Poe, Justin Schreiber and Anna Maestas - Anna was also elected as State TSA reporter.  Congratulations too all.  Great Job!

Special Events:

The Box office will open during lunches beginning TODAY, for Mel Brooks The Producers, our Mane Stage Spring Musical and Mr. Eric Pung's directorial debut! This show is rated PG13; not recommended for young children unless you know the show.  Originally a Mel Brooks film in 1968, The Producers was adapted by Brooks as a stage musical in 2001. The story of a down and out producer who pairs with a neurotic accountant to create "the Worst Show On Broadway" in order to make two million dollars has all of the requisite Mel Brooks humor...which boils down to the phrase "funny....but wrong".   Hope to see there!  Show Times:  Thursday, February 25 at 7pm; Friday, February 26 at 7pm; and Saturday, February 27 at 1pm and 6pm.

Attention Lady Lion Fish Swimmers and Divers, please plan to meet Coach Kelly at 3:00 TODAY, in the North gym where we keep our parkas.

The last home Unified basketball game is TONIGHT at 7pm.  Our theme is 80's night.  Come out and cheer on our undefeated season.

The Boys swim team has informational papers regarding the upcoming season in the athletic office. If you are swimming please swing by and pick one up.  The swim packet has information on team apparel as well as pre-season practices.

Students:  Wanna be a hero and help save lives?  Did you know that approximately
10% of the nation's blood supply is given by high-school-aged donors?  Next Thursday, 2/25, our very own National Honor Society is sponsoring a blood drive right here at Littleton High School.  If you would like to donate blood please stop by Mr. Hahn's office in the counseling office to signup and for more detailed information.  There are a limited number of spots and donors will be signed up on a first-come first-serve basis.

Attention Seniors!  Would you like to speak at graduation this year?  If so, there is one spot available for a senior to audition to become our "senior" speaker at graduation.  Traditionally, the Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Student Body President and Senior Class President speak at graduation and we always leave one more spot open for an "at-large" speaker.  If you are interested in being this 5th speaker, please sign up  on the SENIOR bulletin board in the Language Arts hallway.  We will contact you in a couple of weeks to let you know more information!  This is a wonderful privilege for our students!
