Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Congratulations to Dianna Link for her First Place Award in this year's CU Boulder High School Student Musician Composer Competition.  Dianna won Scholarship monies as well as free Composition lessons from a member of the CU Music Faculty.

Juniors - Tuesday, November 29      
(no adjustments on Wednesday)      
Sophomores - Thursday, December 1      
Freshmen - Friday, December 2
Students needing to adjust their second semester schedule should go to the counseling office during an off period on their assigned day.

Key Clubbers
Today is the last day to order a Key Club T shirt for this year.  Please come and put your name on the list of the door of 2620 if you would like a shirt.

The Art club is going to be sponsoring free Henna Tattoos during all periods, lunches, and after school Today the 18th. It is free to all students. You can either design your own tattoo or have one of the artists draw it for you. Tattoos will be given out in the art hallway room 1218 on the couches.

Hope For Haiti.  This is a program started by one of our seniors-Hadley Hindeman-and she would like our help for the victims of the hurricane that recently hit Haiti.  The Red Cross is asking mainly for personal items for the victims including: shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste etc... So, Student Council joined in and thought to ask each class to donate an item:  Freshmen-soap, Sophomores-shampoo, Juniors-Toothbrush or toothpaste, and Seniors-deodorant. There are bins in the lobby and Ms. Prestel's room.

Parents we encourage you to regularly monitor your student’s progress by logging in to Infinite Campus.  If you do not have your Infinite Campus log-in information go to http://www.littletonpublicschools.net/schools/littleton-high-school/infinite-campus-family-portal.

CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of the Lions Follies Variety and Talent Show!  For Best Musical performance--Kennedy Hunter.  Best Non-Musical Performance--The Senior Skit. and For Best in Show--the Sanders Sisters!  Nice job everyone--it was a wonderful show!  You can collect your prizes from Mrs. Fornstrom in the Science hall!!

Congratulations to the country of Lithuania on their first place in the International Soccer Tournament yesterday. Temporary Lithuanians Katie Roskam, Lauren Weiss, Sarah Gray, Degan Malloy, Nick Castle, and Zach Maguire went undefeated in the competition. Thanks to everyone who took part and who came out to watch!

Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Congratulations to the LHS Spirit Squads who competed last weekend at the Rumble in the Rockies Spirit Competition. The Cheer team placed fourth in the 4A Co-Ed Division, and Poms placed third in the 4A Pom Competition. The teams will compete during State on December 9th and 10th. Way to go Lions!

Last night we had 32 students from all 4 high schools come out to compete at the LPS poetry slam, including 13 Littleton students. We had 3 students make it to finals, including Alahna Rowe, who took 5th place, Andrew Chan who took 4th, and Ellen Huggins who finished in 3rd. Great job poets!

Special Events:

There will be an audition information meeting for the school musical, "The Drowsy Chaperone" Today.  Everyone in the school is invited.  There will be two meetings at 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.  You only need to attend one.  See Mr. Farrell if you have any questions.

Musana gifts are here!  If you would like to do a little early Holiday shopping, come to the front lobby starting Today Nov. 15th and check out the hand made goods from the Musana Community Center and School in Uganda that LHS supports every year!  They have some wonderful jewelry, Bronco scarves and much, much more!  You can also donate money to buy a chicken, or a tree or even a goat!  Help out this wonderful organization and get some presents bought early!

The LHS PEAS club will have a meeting Today after school in the greenhouse to talk about schedules for next semester and to plan our PEAS Club holiday party. We hope to see you there!

Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Congratulations to senior Alie Watson who has been selected the to National American Choral Directors Association Honor Choir in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in March.  Alie is one of only 300 students selected from the entire United States.

Congratulations to senior Tatianah Summers who has been selected to the Colorado All State Jazz Choir.  Tatianah is one of only 32 students who were selected for this honor.  Littleton High School is the only school in the state who have been represented for all 18 years that the Colorado All State Jazz Choir has been in existence.

Our speech and debate team continued its great start to the season.  Last Saturday we travelled to Golden High School for the Golden Invitational.  We had a number of students earn excellent and superior ribbons.  Finishing in 7th place for Original Oratory was Rebecca Zickerman.  In Humor Interpretation, Ben Greenly placed 4th, while Kelly Steinberg placed 3rd.  And in Poetry Interpretation, Sam Burke won the gold at Golden, taking first place.  Great job team!

Congratulations to your Lion Ultimate mixed team on their 9th place finish at state this weekend! Huge contributions were made by girls and guys, senior through freshman, working together toward a 3-2 record for the weekend. Please consider coming out for the spring season; we are always looking for new athletes to join Lion Ultimate Frisbee Club.
