Academics:

On Tuesday, February 28th there will be an information session for students interested in the Early Childhood Program, Teacher Cadet Program or Fashion Design Program during A and B lunches in the cafeteria.

Reminder: The deadline to submit the Concurrent Enrollment Paperwork is Tuesday, February 28th. Students must return the completed packet to Mr. Puchino in the Counseling Office.

Attention Seniors - Post Grad has created a new list of current scholarships which is now available on Naviance.  New additions are added regularly, so check the list often!

Clubs and Activities:

Attention all Student Council students who are participating in Read Across America, there is a VERY important informational meeting on Monday Feb. 27th. You MUST be there! If you cannot make it, see Ms. Prestel ASAP. THANKS!

Attention NHS members! If you indicated to us that you'd like a t-shirt this year, please bring $8.50 to either Mr. Hahn or Ms. Fritz before today, Feb. 24. If you do not bring money, we will not order you a shirt, so get that money in!

Special Event:

Seniors: Jostens will be here Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 10:30 am  to 1:00 pm in the senior hall to deliver Senior Graduation Announcements and Mugs.

Come and enjoy the Littleton High School "Mane Stage" Production of The Drowsy Chaperone!  Tickets are now being sold in the cafeteria during A and B lunch.  The shows are next Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Attention girl tennis players, the first day of practice is Monday, February 27th. Make sure you register and get your clearance card before then!

Attention Seniors:
Graduation is approaching do you have money in your lunch account?
The end of the year is coming,  now is the time to monitor your lunch account.  Buy lunch or a snack or pay off a negative balance.  Unsure of your balance?  Ask one of the Nutrition Services Kitchen Staff.If you still have money in your account, as of May 22, 2017, please have your parents contact the Nutrition Services Office.  The office can transfer the balance to a sibling or process a refund.  You can also “pay it forward” and donate the money to a “Lunch Shares” fund. It has been our privilege to serve you!!Congratulations LHS Class of 2017. The LPS Nutrition Services Department and LHS Kitchen Staff

Attention Freshmen and Sophomore Spanish students! Would you like to take a trip to Costa Rica in the summer of 2018? Come to a presentation tonight at 7 p.m. in the Cafeteria to find out about being part of our travel group.

Key Club will meet Today at 2.15 p.m. in room 2620.  We will be making dog toys to donate to the Dumb Friends League.  Don't forget to bring your old, worn out T shirts to use to make the toys.  Large and X large adult t shirts are best.

Student Congratulations and Recognition:

Congratulations to our varsity basketball Lions who defeated the Elizabeth Cardinals last night, 43-31 to advance to the second round of the playoffs.  Senior Maddie Fuchs led the way with 12 points, junior Katie Puchino scored 11 and had 4 steals, and junior Bekah Sandstrom pulled down 15 rebounds.  Our Lions take on the Pueblo South Colts on Friday.  Let's go Lions!
A HUGE SHOUT OUT goes to the amazing crowd at last night's exciting girls basketball win vs Elizabeth!  You were what high school basketball games are all about--loud, cheering with the cheerleaders, and staying positive--no negativity towards players at all!!  Even the Elizabeth fans complimented you--way to go, and way to show RESPECT FOR THE LION!

Our Speech and Debate team finished up their regular season at Columbine High School, for the Rebellion Invitational.  Leading the way were Freshman Maddie Engeman, who placed 6th in Informative Speaking, and Sophomore Julia Valdez, who placed second in Poetry.  Jack Rogers, Sam Burke, Natalie Parkhurst, Isabella Stumpf, Ben Greenly, Avery Zieper, Abby Moses, Mac D'Leeuwen, and Brisa Banuelos all earned outstanding mention in their respective events.  Now it's on to the state qualifying tournament in two weeks!

PEAS Club members: you do not have a meeting today (Tuesday, February 21). The next PEAS meeting is next week on Tuesday, February 28.

Dress up Hawaiian and get a raffle ticket!
