Clubs and Activities:

Your Lion Ultimate open team beat Mountain Vista 13-6 yesterday and finished their season 5-3. Nicely done, guys!

Attention Seniors! All your Library materials (books and calculators), including chromebooks, are due back to the library on Friday, May 12th. All other students, your library materials are due May 19th. Chromebooks will need to be returned on May 15th and 16th.

Tomorrow is After Prom!  Have fun hanging out with your friends! You will have 3 1/2 hours to enjoy laser-tag, interactive games, ice skating, broom-ball, bumper cars, climbing wall and selfie photo booth!  Plus, there is endless food, and unlimited coffee and smoothie cart! Sound like fun! You bet it is!  Juniors and Seniors it’s your last chance to be entered in a special drawing when you buy your ticket at school!

Don’t miss your last chance to get LHS spirit wear before summer break!  Come to the cafeteria during A or B lunch on Wednesday, May 3 and check out our new dri-fit shirts, baseball caps, and recently discounted items.  Cash, check and credit cards are accepted.

We will have important information about SWAG, Spring Fling, Lettering, the Banquet and ...we will be voting on the 2017 Homecoming theme--make sure you are there!!

Student Congratulations and Recognition:

The girls varsity soccer team beat Standley Lake 3-2 last night. Sarah Payson and Sarah Gray had the goals. Katie Puchino and Anna Newby had assists. Thanks to the brilliant fans who roared the girls to victory!

Congratulations to the new 2017-18 Student Council officers!  Student Body President-Sarah Payson, Student Body Vice President Anna Whitney, Student Body Public Relations officer-Turner deShon!  And your new class officers are:  Class of 2018 President-Reganne Fornstrom, Vice President Preston Novinger.  Class of 2019-President Emma Slenkovich, Vice President Rachel Tobler. Class of 2020-President Makayla Franklin, Vice President Jack Fidler and Public Relations officer Ellie Fuchs!  Nice job everyone!!

We have our Spring Pep Rally tomorrow the 28th---we want everyone to wear their class t-shirts; STudent Council will have them available on today April 27th during both lunches and afterschool down at the concession stand by the gyms.  So, get your school spirit revived with your class shirt..if you haven't bought one yet, they are only $5.

Raid your piggy banks and bring your change to the Pep Rally on Friday to give one last HUGE BUCKET CHALLENGE for Urban Peak!  We have visitors coming from Urban Peak, so let's show them how much we care with the biggest Change Collection EVER!

After Prom is in two days and you still have time to buy your ticket! Just $15 for 3 1/2 hours of fun with your friends! LHS Juniors and Seniors when you purchase your After Prom ticket during your lunch period you will be automatically entered for a chance to win a prize. There will be one winner who will be announced at midnight during After Prom! Come check it out for more details!

Attention all STEM Students!  We will have brief lunchtime meetings tomorrow, April 27th during both lunch periods in The Forum.  We'll review how to upload item to your electronic portfolios, how to log STEM hours and ideas for hours over the summer.  Oh yeah...we'll also have Santiago's burritos!

Key Club will meet in room 2620 after school tomorrow.  Please attend this very important meeting.  We will be voting for next year's officers and working on our secret project.  If you plan to attend the Project CURE volunteer event this Saturday, please bring your permission slip to the meeting on Thursday or put it in Ms. Anthamatten’s box by the end of the day on Thursday

Sign Language Club is meeting today the 26th in room 1102! Snacks will be provided!

Come see how cool Cross Country can be during our informational pre-season meeting on Thursday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the Forum. Students and their parents are invited to meet the coaches.

Academics:

Attention all STEM Students!  We will have brief lunchtime meetings this Thursday, April 27th during both lunch periods in The Forum.  We'll review how to upload item to your electronic portfolios, how to log STEM hours and ideas for hours over the summer.  Oh yeah...we'll also have Santiago's burritos!

Clubs and Activities:

A BIG thank you to all those that brought in paint to be recycled and donated to After Prom on Saturday! We plan to schedule this successful event next Earth Day as well.

Key Club will meet in room 2620 after school this Thursday.  Please attend this very important meeting.  We will be voting for next year's officers and working on our secret project.  If you plan to attend the Project CURE volunteer event this Saturday, please bring your permission slip to the meeting on Thursday or put it in Ms. Anthamatten’s box by the end of the day on Thursday

Sign Language Club is meeting again this Wednesday the 26th in room 1102! Snacks will be provided!

Want an easy way to help Urban Peak and get some ice cream as a reward???  Well, bring a can of food with you to your class meeting during seminar THIS WED and your class could win and ice cream party!!  The class with the most cans collected for Urban Peak will get ice cream delivered to their seminar classes on May 3.  So, help out Urban Peak and get some treats!

Any student who picked up a packet to run for a Student Council officer position,  needs to turn in their speech and packet by Today April 25. All of your paperwork is due this means speeches and parent permission forms plus biographical information.  Please, get this to Ms. Prestel by Today!! If she does not have it, you cannot run for an office.

The Littleton Lions track and field team scored well in a big invitational over the weekend. Nearly 40 schools – many of them much larger than ours – competed at the Dakota Ridge Invitational this past Saturday. Top 10 performances included:

Kaysha Kacanda – 2nd Place Long Jump
Boys 4x800 Relay – 5th Place

The Lions compete again this week on Tuesday at the Jeffco League JV Championships. Varsity is in action Friday and Saturday here at LPS Stadium during the Liberty Bell Invitational. Come watch your LHS track and field team run, jump and throw!

At this past Saturday's Model United Nations conference at Kent Denver School Abigail Moses and Sarah Urtz won Best Delegate Awards for their representation of France in a historic Security Council simulation on the Kashmir Crisis.

Congratulations to the Littleton High School FBLA members who competed at the state FBLA conference in Vail, CO.  The following students made the final round of competition and several of these competitors qualified for the National FBLA conference held this summer in Anaheim, CA.

The X Chromosomes girls' ultimate team had a great time in Boulder Saturday, even if we only scored 2 points against the Boulder HS Flower Power powerhouse team. Prom is almost here, so it’s time to buy your tickets!! Bring your money starting Mon 24th, only $40 for all LHS non-seniors or any out of school guest. Seniors get in for free, just bring your ID. Tickets will be sold at the bookkeepers all week during lunch and after school. And, don’t forget to fill out a guest form if needed and have it turned in by the 27th.
