ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Littleton High School will host Parent-Teacher Conferences on Monday, October 16, from 4:00 – 7:30 pm.  All parents are welcome to attend conferences to meet with teachers. The conferences are being held in the cafeteria and the south gym. 

 CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

It is a Spirit Day at the Play for all Student Council officers, ambassadors and General Council members!  When you buy a ticket to go to the play, Student Council will give you a CUPCAKE!  We want to encourage attendance at our Theater events, and this is one sweet way to start! Student Council reps will be at the play both Thursday and Friday nights to hand out the CUPCAKES

in the forum!  We will be putting together our Halloween committees. See you there!

ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Are you interested in the military? All branches of the military offer ROTC programs at various colleges and universities across the country. ROTC stands for Reserve Officer Training Corps and many programs offer full-ride four year scholarships. Amazing! A representative from the Marine Corps will meet with interested students Tuesday, October 17th at 11:00 in Post Grad.  Sign up to attend on Naviance, and stop by Post Grad to pick up a pass from class."

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to your LHS Ultimate Frisbee Team, Episode IV: Return of the Jon, on their 12-8 victory over Lakewood Z after senior Will Dinneen made a buttery throw to senior Matt Sehgal who caught the disc with a saucy bid to score the winning point. Wish them luck this weekend as they head to the Monarch Invitational with hopes to serve up some more hot and fresh sauce

Congratulations to the Freshman Women's Volleyball team on their victory against the Green Mountain Rams Tuesday night!  GO LIONS!
Come and support your volleyballers as they take on Standley Lake in their home finale tonight. Level 3 and Level 4 play at 4:30, JV at 5:30 and Varsity at 6:30. Remember to dress up as senior citizens to honor our seniors. Go Lions!

General Admission tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students and free for Seniors over the age of 65. They can be purchased at the box office during school lunches, at the door before each performance, or online at lhsperformingarts.net.

The Stride is on Sunday, October 29th. Can we win the $1,000 prize for the high school with the greatest participation again this year? See a member of the PE department for a form, or register online at www. RunTheStride.com and please be sure to put Littleton in the "I support" section!  This is a fantastic school community event!! POLITICAL CLUB - Meet in room 2608 today after school for a club photo and to further plans for Pocket Points program

Key Club will meet today in room 2620 from 2.25 to 3 p.m.  We will be working on the Students Rebuild Facing Difference challenge.  Come along if you want to learn more about and support peace making efforts in Nigeria, Sri Lanka and the South Caucasus region of Eastern Europe.  Please remember that Thursday is the last day to turn in the permission slips and dues to join Key Club.  Please bring your paperwork to the meeting if you have not already turned it in.

Are you good at juggling, how about tap dancing, singing or maybe you are good at Slam Poetry!?  If so, we want YOU to audition for the LHS Talent/Variety Show called Lions Follies! Sign up sheets are located on the bulletin boards in the Language Arts hall and in the Drama hall.  Auditions are on Friday Oct. 13, Tuesday Oct. 17 and Wed. Oct. 18th starting at  2:30. In the Forum. See you there!

Congratulations to your "Pride of Littleton" Marching Band!  The Band placed 7th Overall and achieved their Highest Score ever at the Pomona Marching Festival this past Saturday.  Congratulations Band!!"

Arapahoe High School is hosting a college fair tonight, Monday, Oct 9th, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Both in state and out of state colleges will be represented. See the flyers on the bulletin boards or stop by Post Grad for more information.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Congratulations to our amazing cross country team at this Saturday's Windjammer Invitational at Englewood High School! By the numbers, the Lions notched 16 personal records, four season bests and had 10 runners who improved this year over last. Congratulations to Senior Addi Iken, who won the girls varsity race for the second year in a row! For our boys, Junior Christian Sapakoff was fourth in the varsity race. In the Boys Open, Junior Christian Olsen was fourth in a stellar come-back performance!  Wish our cross country team luck as they go into the championship part of the season this coming week with our League Meet at Clement Park!
