ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention Juniors and Seniors. Admissions reps from Vanderbilt University and Colorado College will be here to meet with students today.  Sign up to attend on your Naviance account.

Reminder: If you are enrolled in an Advanced Placement course, the second payment of the AP exam fee is due on November 1st. If the fee has not been paid in full by December 15th, a $45 late fee will be charged. Payments can be made with the bookkeeper or through the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus.

Reminder: The deadline to submit the Concurrent Enrollment Paperwork is today, October 27th! Students must return the completed packet to Mr. Puchino in the Counseling Office.

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Ready for some good old fashioned Halloween fun!? Well, Student Council has the answer...on Mon. Oct 30, there will be a Pumpkin Carving Contest in the cafeteria after school. Come on down and bring your friends! You could win a prize for most creative, spookiest or most LHS spirit! It's free so come along!

Tuesday next week is Halloween,  and that means Student Council's annual Costume Contest!! This year the categories are: Cutest, Most Original, Scariest, Best Group and Funniest.  Prizes will be awarded to the top costumes...so, head down to the cafeteria during ANY off period or during both lunches to get your picture taken. Teachers are welcome too!!

Halloween is here and that means you can send your friends some spooky messages via Halloween O Grams!! Find a Student Council member and for only $1 you can send a fun Halloween message to your friends and help out LHS Student Council events! So, buy lots and make your friend's day with a message from you!

Our last Spirit Football game of the year is today!! Come dressed in your Halloween costume and get a Halloween treat!! Remember, follow Code of Conduct rules-no face coverings and no weapons of any sort!! Let’s have a blast and show your LHS Spirit!!

Come join Sign Language Club on Monday October 30th in room 1102! Snacks will be provided!

Come to the greenhouse club this Tuesday for a Halloween surprise!!! Bring your friends, all are welcome!!"

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Congratulations to the LHS Women's Volleyball Team for their exciting 3 to 2 victory over Standley Lake Gators Thursday night! Fraser lead with 12 kills, Bouck with 10 kills, (Maleia) Holyfield with 8 kills.  Allee led with four aces for the night.  The team has one more tournament Saturday, Oct 28th at Golden High School. Thanks to everyone who has supported the team this season!

Attention Film Club members! We have our monthly meeting today after school in Ms. Fritz’s room (1749). See you then!

Key Club will meet in room 2620 today after school.  We are preparing for Trick or Treat for Cans this weekend.  If you plan to trick or treat with us on Sunday, you must bring your permission slips to the meeting or put them in Ms. Anthamatten or Ms. Fisher's box by the end of the day on Thursday.

FBLA members we have a very important meeting today, October 26, 2017 at 2:30 pm in room 1976.  We will be introducing competitive events and details for how to sign up for them!  See you Thursday!!

If you auditioned for Lions Follies, full cast sheets have been posted in the Language Arts and Drama halls. Remember that Lions Follies performance nights are Thursday November 9 and Friday November tenth, so come out and support your talented peers!

Congratulations to your LHS Ultimate Frisbee Team, The Biggleton Saucegods, on their 13-5 win over Heritage last night to close out their regular season with a 7-1 record. They now look forward to the State Tournament where they hope the sauce they have been dishing out can lead them to an even higher placement than last time.

Pack the Stands, Wednesday, 10/25, 6:30 pm, for our Boys Soccer Home Playoff Game! Come support your league champion Lions Soccer team as they begin their postseason run this Wednesday at 6:30pm in the stadium. Student tickets are $5 each, adults are $7, see you there! Go Lions!
