STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to our UNIFIED LIONS Basketball team for a 4th place finish at the Jeffco Adaptive Basketball tournament yesterday. Leading the Lions to victory, scoring 26 points, senior Ruben Valdivia, 16 points freshman Alberto Zarate and Junior Scott Bourg. Our next home game is Monday night at 7:00...Let's pack the gym and cheer on Unified Team!!!!

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Last day for “Coats for Veterans”.  Please bring in any new or gently used coats and put them in the bins outside of the library, and in front of the attendance office. We will be taking them to the Veterans organization this weekend.Thanks to everyone who donated this year!

Fill the Gym TONIGHT, 19th!  Come down to the gym tonight, wearing your awesome PURPLE attire and ready to rock the gym and see our boy's basketball team beat D'evelyn!!  There will be a raffle drawing, where you could also win a $100 steak dinner, an autographed basketball from the nuggets, lots of great gift cards, or the grand prize--A Maserati for the weekend! Teachers and staff, it is also a spirit night for you, so you could win a gift card by attending the game! There will also be Denver Nuggets players and Cheerleaders there for you to meet and get autographs!"

Leo Club members- we will be playing croquet Monday after school in the cafeteria.

National Honor Society members you have a meeting in the forum after school on Monday, January 22nd.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Boys Ultimate Frisbee will have a pre-season meeting today, 1/19 after school in Maggie Chen's room 1311.

Registration for Spring Sports is now open. Please register through the LHS Athletic website. The first day of Spring Sports season is Monday, February 26.

There will be a Girls Tennis Meeting next Thursday, January 25 at 2:30 pm in room 1971! No experience required! Come to meet the new coach and learn about the season!

Attention Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors!  Life After Littleton Night is TUESDAY, January 23, 6-8 pm, at LHS.  What are your plans for after high school?  Come learn about your many options!  You can choose from nine different breakout sessions, including; Skilled Trades Careers, Education, & Apprenticeships; Community College Certificate Programs; Generating Your College List; College Entrance Exams; Parents’ Role in the College Process; Financial Aid; Scholarships; and Earning College Credit While in High School.  Bring your parents/guardians and start planning for your life after Littleton!

The “Winter Dance” guest forms are available at Student Services and in the Main office. They are due back February 8, 2018.

Students and staff:  Bonfils Blood Center will be here on Thursday, January 25th, and Friday, January 26th from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm.  If you have an off period and would like to potentially save 3 lives by donating blood, please contact Mr. Hahn in the counseling office.

LHS will host the "USA Gap Year Fair" on Sunday, January 28th in the Cafeteria and South Gym. This fair takes place in several cities across the U.S. each year, and Littleton is lucky to host it for the Denver area this year.  Speakers will present from 1-2pm and the fair, which will include dozens of exhibitors, will take place from 2-4pm.  Register here   Event is FREE

Attention all Student Council officers and ambassadors, PLEASE turn your raffle tickets into Ms. Prestel by the end of TODAY!  You can put them on her desk or give them to her in her room-2160.  They need to be in by 3pm. THANKS!

Congratulation to the Unified Lions for their 34-28 victory over Englewood last night.  Next up Jeffco Adaptive Tournament Thursday.  GO LIONS!
Your LPS Hockey Team made their first ever, appearance in the top five in the state with a huge 3-1 win over previously fifth ranked, Resurrection Christian. The team will be on the road this weekend playing Aspen and Vail and then will be playing back at home on Saturday the 27th.

Join us Tuesday, January 23rd from 6:00-8:00pm for "Life After Littleton" Night here at school.  We have a lively and information-rich evening planned for you.  You can choose from among eight different breakout sessions on a variety of topics useful for planning your "Life After Littleton". Open to Sophomores, Junior and Seniors and their families.

STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

Littleton's Speech and Debate Team had a great weekend at George Washington's Patriot Games Tournament! Ally Procopio took 6th in Informative Speaking. Ben and Grace Greenly took 6th in Duo Interp. And Julia Valdez took 3rd in Poetry. Several other students had a strong day as well on Saturday. Maddie Engeman and Dalena Le received Excellent in their respective events. And Will Luem and Natalie Parkhurst received Superior in their respective events.

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Come on out to the first greenhouse club meeting of 2018! We are kicking off the new year with lots of planting! Bring your friends to the meeting today, the 16th!!!
 GSA will resume meetings after school today, January 16th, in room 1604.
