Congrats to your volleyballers as they secured a program sweep over Wheat Ridge last night! Make sure to support your Lady Lions next week with home games on Tuesday and Thursday.

For individuals interested in Wrestling as an athlete, manager, social media guru, or team DJ there is an informational meeting Monday, October 8th at 6:30 PM in the Wrestling Room. Attendance with a parent is strongly encouraged.

It's Homecoming Week!

Today is Class T-Shirt Day! AND it is also a BIG DAY for Homecoming activities. The Pep Rally is in the North Gym right after period 8! As soon as school is over, head on down to the grass fields for the Carnival. Admission is Free! Then, join us for the Tailgate in the athletic lot at 6 p.m. The cost is $3, and is free to 8th graders and Freshman. Finally, top off your evening with the Homecoming Football Game at 7 p.m.! Come show your spirit, Lions! Don't forget the dance is tomorrow night from 8-11 p.m.!

Congratulations to the Girls JV Gymnastics Team for taking 2nd and The Varsity Team for taking 3rd in their meet yesterday! A shout out to Gillian Schwanitz for placing 5th on JV Bars! Way to go!!!

The ultimate frisbee team lost their game against Lakewood. The score was 5-9.

The Homecoming volleyball game is tonight! Come cheer on your lady volleyballers as they take on Wheat Ridge. Student section theme is "Black Out." Level 3 plays at 4:30, JV at 5:30 and Varsity at 6:30.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Congratulations to the LHS cross country team at the Denver North Invitational! Seniors Christian Sapakoff and Christian Olsen led the boy's varsity to a third place overall finish, with Sapakoff and Olsen taking 3rd and 9th, respectively. Shout out to freshman Emily Caldwell for her 2nd place finish in the girl's open race! All of the Lions did an excellent job yesterday and we wish them luck on Friday's Dave Sanders race!

Tuesday the boy's varsity tennis team defeated Green Mountain 7-0 Team record is 6-1.

The LPS Girls Gymnastics Team is back in the gym this evening at Elizabeth High School at 6pm! Good luck, Girls!

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The boy's tennis team took 3rd place in our varsity Invitational Tennis Tournament. There were some of the top 5A and 4A teams in the state. #1 singles Jack Fidler took 4th place, #3 singles Ethan Rodgers took 4th place, #2 doubles Reid Fornstrom and Jake Beutelschies took 2nd place and Ethan and Ollie Montoya took 1st place at #4 doubles.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Cross Country team on their 4th place finish at the Air Academy Kadet Invitational in Colorado Springs. Christian Sapakoff powered through the course to finish 7th overall followed by Christian Olsen, Henry Jackson and then a tight pack consisting of Matthew Sapakoff, Cooper Brown and Grady Redding. Donny Marshall also ran. Hans Romine finished 14th in the Boys Open race.

Way to go, Littleton Lions Girls Varsity Cross Country! The team placed 5th at the Air Academy Kadet Invitational over the weekend. Hailey Lockhart finished 17th overall with Grace Valentine coming in a few runners back. Eva deThomas, Grace Greenly and Rachel Tobler rounded out the squad for the girls. Next up is the Denver North Viking Invite September18 at Willis Case Golf Course. Go Lions!

The JV soccer team had a 3 to 1 win over George Washington on Saturday. Goals were scored by Owen Balbin, Will Grenawalt, and Max Klein. Aidan Flaugh had two assists.
