Attention, students: The Ugly Sweater Contest will be held during lunches in the cafe today. Come get your picture taken, and you could win a prize!

Congratulations to LHS senior, Jack Kail, who will be honored during tomorrow's Denver Broncos game as an IBM High School Hero. Jack's name will be announced on KOA radio during the Broncos-Browns game. Jack was recognized for his work on and off the field. He is a three-sport letter winner in football, basketball, and baseball, and was captain of the football team. Jack is also an honor student in our IB program, and has made many positive contributions to LHS and the Littleton community. Congratulations, Jack; we are so proud of you!

Students, a friendly reminder that food needs to stay in the cafeteria. When you are done eating, you can stay in the cafeteria, or head to the library or courtyard. Please remain out of the halls as commotion is a disruption to classes ongoing. Thank you for your cooperation!

C game is at 4:30, JV plays at 6:00, and varsity tips off at 7:30 pm in the Littleton gym. We need to fill the stands with purple and gold to help the Lions take down the Eagles. See you there tonight!

Keep an eye out for gratitude journals this week. Sources of Strength Peer Leaders will be passing them out tomorrow and Thursday during both lunches. The holiday season and end of the semester can be stressful. Focusing a little time each day on gratitude is a great way to manage stress!

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Our Speech and Debate team competed with over 750 students at the Cherry Creek Winter Wonder on Saturday. Earning top honors were Senior Jack Rogers who placed 3rd in Humor, Hadley Williamson who placed 6th in Oratory, Kate Lurie who placed 10th in Lincoln Douglas debate, and Senior Ben Greenly & Grace Greenly who placed 4th in Duo. Recognized as Superior speakers were Ozzie Froelich & Jack Rayner, James Zieper & Sarah Young, Kenneth Huynh, Hayley Hamilton, Nicholas Hopper, Arik McCubbin, and Ally Procopio. And recognized as Excellent speakers were Ashley Feldman, Grady Redding, Lane Gray, Maya Rapp, Trevor Metz & Ethan Rogers, Kait Schultz, KC Lynch, Lane Greenly, Ella Wheeler, and Ashlyn McVicar & Will Luem. That many names tells you it was a very successful day! Great job, Speech and Debate!

NHS members - you have a meeting tomorrow at 8:00 am in the forum.

The Model UN Club will meet tomorrow in Room 2609 at 8:00 am. All students planning on participating in the January 12th Colorado Springs and the March New York Model UN Conferences should attend. Any students who are interested in learning about Model UN for the first time are welcome, especially IB Juniors and Seniors seeking CAS hours!
