STUDENT BULLETIN
Students in IB classes - please get your IB exam form completed and returned to the IB office. The deadline is October 10th. Please see Ms. Anderson, the IB diploma program coordinator, with any questions.

Attention Juniors and Sophomores: The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 16th at 8:00 am. in the South Gym. Registration is Monday, September 23rd and conclude Friday, October 11th. Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited, so do not wait until the last minute!

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Attention all speech and debate team members. We have a team meeting today after school. We are meeting in the speech room, which is next to the forum. Please bring your team contracts.

MOCK TRIAL - A brand new team coached by legal experts and advised by Mrs. Sutterer will launch on Tuesday, October 8th. Come to an informational meeting at 3:30 - 4:00 pm in room 2608. Mock trial teams are composed of 6–12 students who play the role of attorneys and witnesses in a fictitious case before an actual Colorado judge. The LHS Mock Trial team will meet after school once a week from October to February to prepare for regional competition in February and possible state tournament in March.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Congratulations to your volleyball teams. The Lady Lions defeated their competition from Level 4 to Varsity. Varsity player Bre McDowell was the player of the game with six aces and ten assists. Keep up the good work, ladies!!

Attention Juniors and Seniors - This week is College Week at LHS. We have over 55 Colleges and Universities visiting our school. Junior and Seniors are encouraged to register through Naviance to meet with the visiting admission representatives. A printed list of visiting schools is posted in the Senior hallway and on an announcement board by the Counseling office.

In conjunction with College Week, there will be an Out-Of-State College Night hosted at Lakewood High School today, October 3rd from 6:30-8:00 PM and there is an In-State and Out-Of-State College Fair and Workshop hosted at Mountain Vista High School in Highland Ranch on Saturday, October 5th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

A great team effort- Elan Brown scored a hat trick, Johan Zamora added another two, and goals were also scored by Skye Fanch, Sawyer Gannon, Luis Lopez, Jared Gonzales, and Edwin Gutierrez. Come support the team tomorrow at home when they take on Grandview at 4:30 pm.

Offline October is a time where students pledge to give up social media for the month of October to improve their wellbeing and bring awareness to the importance of a healthy mindset and healthy mental activities. You can pledge to be free of the negative aspects of social media for the month of October on the Offline October website offlineoctober.com. Don’t post a story, live one!

Attention all artists: Participate in the Memory Project to help break barriers and unite youth from different cultures by creating a heartfelt keepsake portrait of a child from Pakistan. See your art teacher or Ms Jeannelle in room 1218 for more information!

If you cannot make this meeting, please see Mr. Gordon in the Social Studies Office for details, and or pick up a trip information flyer on the Model UN Bulletin Board outside the Library.
