Your LHS speech and debate team competes tomorrow at George Washington High School at the Patriot Games Invitational, their first tournament of 2020. Please cheer them on; they should be easy to find in their "patriotic" gear today. And team members, we have a meeting today after school in the speech room. See you there!
MOCK TRIAL -will meet Monday after school in room 2608. We will prep for our scrimmage at CU Boulder on January 25-26.

Our Girls Basketball Lions continue to roll with another win over conference rival Golden last night to bring their record to 7-2. Senior Ellie Fuchs scored 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while Senior Brooke Wolanin also added 7 points in another team win! Our varsity Lions look to get another one on Friday night at Wheat Ridge.
Congratulations also to our Level 3 and JV teams who also defeated Golden last night!
Your LPS Ice Hockey team had another impressive win yesterday over Columbine with a final score of 6-1. Come out to cheer the team on this weekend as they face Mullen twice, Friday night is an away game at the Edge Ice Arena at 8:30 pm, and on Saturday they play at home at South Suburban at 6:30 pm.

And then this weekend they face Mullen twice, Friday night is an away game at the Edge at 8:30 pm, and on Saturday they play at home at South Suburban, and the puck drops at 6:30 pm.

The Model UN Club will meet at 9:00 am tomorrow, January 8th, in room 2609 in the Social Studies hallway. Any students who are interested in learning about international affairs, how to participate in Model UN Conferences in Colorado this semester, as well as learn about an April 2-5th Vancouver, British Columbia Model UN Conference Trip, are encouraged to attend.

Congratulations to your Lions girls basketball team on their 55-27 victory over rival Heritage last night. The Lions were led by senior Susie Puchino’s 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals, as well as McKenzie Schwartz with 6 points and 9 rebounds. The Lions improved their record to 6-2 and begin league play tomorrow night here at LHS against Golden. We hope to see you there!
