This year’s Stride will be a no-contact 5K/10K event where families can stay connected and move together in whatever way and whenever they choose within a three-day window between October 23rd and the 25th. 10/14/20: For current juniors (Class of 2022): This year’s PSAT/NMSQT test is available free of charge due to our school closure last spring. This test is optional and is used to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. If you would like to register for this test, please visit this form. Get your student guide from the counseling office!

10/14/20: For current sophomores (Class of 2023): The 2020 PSAT/NMSQT can be taken for a fee of $20. You will need to bring your $20 into counseling and pay before the test day. This test is optional. If you would like to register and pay for this test, please visit this form. Keep in mind that sophomores will take the PSAT 10 free of charge in the spring of 2021.

CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to our girl's cross country team on their successes this week! At the Kent Denver Triangular, Kenzie Pullar and Anika Bagal led for the Lady Lions with Sydney Sheldon, Scarlett Montoya,McAllister Stewart, Catherine May, and Rylee Berger finishing with a perfect score of 15! That is a rarity, and we are so proud! Sophia Sheldon led for the Lady Lions at the Rebel Invite while Morgan Kelly put in a gritty run in the heat. Lane Greenly, Elianajoy Volin, and Holly Burns rounded out the squad at Clement Park. And our open girls raced strong at the South Jeffco #5 meet hosted by Bear Creek with amazing runs from Cat Dutmer, Colletta Schiller, Nina Marshall, and Eve Raynor. Way to go, Lions!

The boys cross country team dominated the Kent Denver Triangular with Grady Redding and Cooper Brown finishing first and second overall. Dan Lamey, Sawyer Gannon, Luke Suro, and Oli Garnica formed a tight pack that broke up only as they neared the finish while Trevor Metz showed his grit along the hilly course. Cameron Graham and Kaiden Hamilton were one-two for the Lions at the Rebel Invite finishing within a second of one another with Howie Marshall, Chris Jonsen, and Ethan Pfister also navigating the course around Clement Park. At the South Jeffco #5 meet, Littleton again crushed it with Karsten Beich, Will Grenawalt, Lars Romine and Owen Goldberg leading the way. Well done, gents!

Attention, all LHS artists! For the 5th year in a row, The Visual Art Department is participating in the Memory Project and would like to invite you to help! Draw or paint a portrait of a child who is growing up in extreme circumstances, like extreme poverty, war torn areas, and refugee camps. Let these kids know that Littleton Lions care and wish to help them make happy childhood memories despite the challenges that they endure. See or email Ms. Jeannelle by Friday if you are interested!

MOCK TRIAL - This club is open to all students 8th-12th grades and will host Meeting #1 virtually today, September 28, at 4:30. For a link to the meeting, sign into the Google Classroom using code: da4xuik
Mock trial teams are composed of 6–12 students who play the role of attorneys and witnesses in a fictitious case before an actual Colorado judge. The LHS Mock Trial team will meet after school once a week from September to February to prepare for scrimmages and regional competitions in February and possible state tournament in March.
