Academic Announcements
Students please remember that exams start on Monday, May 18th with exam periods 6 and 7 thru Thursday, May 21st and end with exam periods 4 and 5.

Need help in math or science? Free tutoring will be available from Lockheed Martin employees Tuesday and Wednesday during finals week from 6:00 to 7:30, room 116 (use the Forum entrance).

Preliminary 2009-2010 student schedules are ready to view on Infinite Campus. Please go through the student portal and link on to view all information regarding student schedules.


Other Announcements
Did you get your copy of The Lions’ Roar? Do you want to see Terminator Salvation before everyone else? Then participate in the Terminator contest. Check out the back of the paper, fill out a ballot, and look for the winning names today!

If you have not picked up your yearbook and you purchased one, please pick it up from the bookkeeper. If you are currently on the first waiting list, you may purchase a book. You must purchase the yearbook by the end of today; otherwise it will go one sale on a first come first serve basis. See Ms. Mathies with questions.

There will be NO parking available in the stadium lot next Wednesday the 20th and Thursday the 21st due to graduation in the stadium. Please try to carpool.

Colorguard wants you! We want guys or girls interested in being part of colorguard. Uncoordinated? Its ok, we will teach you. Dancer? Come join us! See Mr. Emmons in the band room or Lori in the main office.


Sports
2 state champions from the first day of the state track meet. Jenna Adams in the pole vault and Brooke Jackson in the discus. Come see the Lions in action Friday afternoon or Saturday at Jeffco stadium. Should be an exciting two days for LHS.

All athletes interested in playing football next season are encouraged to attend spring football camp next week. Camp days/times are Monday-Thursday 3 – 5:30. Please meet on the practice fields! Hope to see you there!

This Friday is a great party for the whole school called spring fling. It will happen right after a special assembly for the seniors. So, wear your class t-shirt and plan on having fun after school from 2:20-4:30

LHS film festival showcasing student movies will be this Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the Forum. It’s free!

Don’t forget dodgeball going on today through Thursday. Get to the gym by 3pm to register your team. There are still spots available.

Club Announcements
Tomorrow there is a parent meeting for those who are attending Nationals. This is at the ESC in Littleton at 7:00 P.M. At the meeting the second half of your Nationals costs will be due.


Special Events
Attention all NET students: Just a reminder that the NET Graduation Reception is tonight at 7:00pm in the cafeteria. Don’t forget to come and bring your parents. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Want to get rid of some of your stress before finals? Student council has the answer! Sign up in the main office to play dodgeball. It’s $5 a person, minimum 5 people on a team. All the money goes to the Musana Children’s Home in Uganda. So, sign up and lose that stress.
