Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Men’s soccer team for their outstanding performance last night against Kennedy HS – They came away with a 6-0 victory! Way to LIONS!!

All students attending the football game tomorrow need to bring their student ID to receive student entry price of $3. If you do not have your current student ID, you will be charged the adult price of $5. If your current ID indicates you paid for an athletic pass at registration, you can enter the game without charge.

Actors--auditions for Noises Off are Tuesday, 6 September from 3.15 -5. Don't forget to sign up for your slot on the callboard! You need a one minute comedic monologue, an audition time and a love of theatre. See you Tuesday.

Sign up September 19-26 by contacting Sheri Rossing at 303-347-7645, Extension 6692 starting September 19 (no sooner). Students must provide full name, school, grade, phone number and name of their counselor. Specific criteria regarding the requirements for the swim test are available in the counseling office or on the LHS website.

Special Events:

There will be an Assembly schedule today for freshmen class elections plus sophomore, Junior and senior mandatory class meetings. Freshmen to the theater - Sophomores to the north gym - Juniors to the south gym - Seniors to the forum. Thank you!

Lions Share is seeking your help in donating school supplies for students in need in the LHS community. All supplies are welcome especially pens, pencils, notebooks, paper and backpacks. We also need gift cards from Walmart, King Soopers, Target, Kmart, etc. Donations can be dropped off in the Counseling Office or mailed to LHS. There is a new club starting this year called Community Outreach through Adventure Education. Attend a brief interest meeting this Thursday, Sept 1st at 2:20 in Room 105. See Mr. Vanoni or Ms. Davis in 106 if you cannot attend or just have questions.

Art is all around us – its potential lies in some of the most unlikely of places. CRUSE Club is here to help young artists, inventors and thinkers explore the world of recycled and repurposed materials. Transform everyday cast-offs into something extraordinary! Come to our first meeting this Thursday, September 1st at 2:30 in room 144 and walk away with your first piece of recycled jewelry!

Club Announcements:

Anyone can come out for Ultimate! See you on the grass practice field at 2:30 today!

Attention all students: If you need help in ANY academic subject, don’t be shy and drop by. Come by Room 203 today after school. We’ll set you up with a fellow student who can assist you with your schoolwork. Also, any aspiring tutors are welcome to help your peers.

Imagine walking out the backdoors of Littleton. There are endless activities in the sun. Come to Backdoor Fun Club in room 131 on Wednesday right after school. This week’s activity is kick ball.

Attention to all those concerned about the environment or in need of community service: On Wednesdays after school, come to 132E to help Green Club recycle for LHS and perform activities that raise awareness of the environment. Help yourself, the community and the earth.

Each Tuesday and Thursday night begins at 5:45 in the weight room and continues on the basketball court from 6:30-8:00 in the south gym. Open gyms are an excellent way to get ready for tryouts in November. We'll see you there!

MANDATORY SENIOR ADVISEMENT for Seniors whose last names begin A-L will take place at 7:20am tomorrow morning in the business hallway. Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to your Littleton High School “Lion Pride” Marching Band and Colorguard for their outstanding performances at the State Fair Grand Parade in Pueblo on Saturday. The “Lion Pride” Marching Band finished 3rd in their division and the Colorguard placed 1st among all 4A and 5A schools on Saturday. Go Band!
