Student Recognition & Congratulations:


CONGRATULATIONS to all the new Student Council officers for the 2013-14 year!  Student Body President: Emily Cassio, Student Body Vice President: Gina Tolley, Student Body Public Relations: Seth Goldstein, Student Body Secretary: Junai Testa.  Class of 2014 President: Meredith Maney, Vice President: Ashlyn Hunt, Public Relations: Stacey Zuppa.  Class of 2015 President Megan Sanders, Vice Presidents: Jennifer Trigg and Jackie Lombardi, Public Relations:  Ryan Famiglietti and Jackie Rivas. Hey Seniors:  Did you buy the hoodie, but not choose the school?  Bring your old, college-labeled clothing into Post Grad next week during Senior Exit interviews and swap it out for something with your school's name on it.  If you don't find anything from the college you chose, consider your swap items a donation to the Lion's Cupboard.

Applications for cheer tryouts will be available at the Athletic office.  You will have an opportunity to meet one of the new coaches today at 3pm in Room 133E. Tryouts will be Monday, May 13th-17th from 4-6:30! Don't wait - get your physical now!!  You must have a current physical to try-out!

Please join your performing arts students, teachers and ENCORE! volunteers for Performing Arts Awards Night Tuesday May 14th, 7:00 pm

SENIORS, if you were not at the Senior meeting and want to vote for your classes' "MOST LIKELY TO..." awards, you can pick up a form in the Main Office. There are also Senior Breakfast Invites so that you can remind your parents to come next Friday morning--it is a great time!

Attention Seniors!  Beginning next Monday, May 13th...and continuing all week...all Seniors MUST stop by the Post Grad Center for your Senior Exit Interview.  Before you come, please be sure you have returned all library books and paid all fines and fees.  The interview process will take about 15 minutes...and it's great fun!  See you there -

Attention everyone, there are Mandatory Class Meetings for Student Council officer elections today. They start right after first block. Freshmen go to the Theater, sophomores to the north gym, juniors to the south gym and seniors to the forum.  Seniors, we will be going over all of the last day activities, so please be there!

Turn in all tennis equipment and uniforms today after school in the North Gym at 2:30 pm.  Get your yearbook first and come on over to the North Gym.

Special Events:

This evening our improv troupe, The Improvables, will compete against the improv troupes from Heritage and Arapahoe at 6.30 pm at Heritage High School. The cost is only two bucks! Come watch some improv shenanigans and support our own Improvables.

Yearbook Distribution is today at 2:15 p.m. in the South Gym. Please bring your student ID and make sure all fees and fines are paid! If you didn't purchase a yearbook, they go on sale Friday, May 10 at 7 a.m. The cost is $65 and they are available on a first come, first served basis. See Mrs. Smith with questions.

Seniors participating in Life 101: this is a reminder that our 5th session will take place tonight from 6-8 p.m. in the LHS library.  If you haven't answered the survey question on the Facebook page regarding your attendance tonight, please do so as soon as possible. Student Recognition & Congratulations:


Congratulations to the staff of The Lions' Roar! In the Best of Colorado competition, we won four first place, two second place, one third place and one honorable mention.  The winners were: Paul Holden, 1st place General Column; Leslie Stutheit, 1st place Commentary; Jenn Russ, 1st place Sports Feature; entire staff, 1st place Single Page Design; Grant Testa, 2nd place Critical Review; Hannah Poe and Meredith Maney, 2nd place Photo Essay; Emily Cassio, 3rd place Sports Reaction Photo & Caption; Meredith Maney, Honorable Mention Sports Action Photo & Caption.  These awards represent a lot of hard work on the part of the entire staff. And we haven't received this many in at least the past six years. Please congratulate any of the staffers that you see.

Heritage/Littleton Girls Lacrosse will host ThunderRidge in a first round playoff game tonight at 7 pm at LPS Stadium.  This is a CHSAA playoff game, so tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for students. Only CHSAA passes will be honored, so bring your ID and know that your athletic pass does not get you in free.  Come out and support H/L Girls Lacrosse!

C Team Women's Soccer, Thanks for a great season! Please don't forget to get your uniforms clean and ready to turn in today after school 2:30 in the soccer office.

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.  Please use the forum entrance.

Student Council officer candidates please make sure all your paperwork and speeches are completed today. We will be collecting them at the General Council meeting.  Current Officers, Ambassadors and General Council members, we have our LAST General Council meeting after school today in the forum.  We will be talking about elections, spring fling, prom evaluation, graduation AND pick next year's Homecoming theme!!  See you there!
