The varsity boy’s soccer team won again last night, continuing their undefeated streak. They outplayed the Gateway Olympians in overtime to win 3-2 with a stunning goal from Sam Korff. Goals also came from Will Paton and Joe Director. Come out and watch the Lions play against Smoky Hill on Friday at 3:45 in the stadium! Way to go LIONS!
The JV soccer team had an exciting come from behind victory yesterday. They beat Gateway 2 to 1 with Donaciano Quintero scoring both Lion goals. Way to go LIONS!!
CONGRATULATIONS to the new Class of 2017 Student Council officers: President Andy Bredar, Vice President Grace Boorom and Public Relations Officer Grant Bowman. Nice job to all the candidates; your speeches were well thought out and very well written! LHS women's volleyball had another successful night last night. The freshman team lost a tough match in 3 games. Kari Miller led the team's serves with 5 aces. The sophomore team won with Anna Sonju and Naya Bere as the team's top defenders, and Hannah Sandstrom as the top server. JV volleyball took home their first win last night. Leading the way with 5 kills was Mallory Burbage, followed my Maya Sjoberg with 3 kills and 4 blocks. The varsity team was victorious after 4 games. Tasha Habert ended the night with 20 kills, Haley Hanna had 4 kills and 3 blocks, and Sela Tharan had 6 kills, 12 assists, and 2 aces. The ladies play again next Tuesday at Thomas Jefferson High School. Way to go LIONS!

Hello everyone! First, a big thanks to everyone who attended the very fun (albeit rainy) Back-to-School FUNraiser at Glenmoor on Thursday! Our focus this year for our PTO fundraising is the new STEM lab that will be in place soon at Littleton. Dr. Oaks reviewed her plan for the year, and with any luck, we will have some fabulous new computers up and running as soon as possible. If you did not have a chance to attend the fundraiser, but would like to make a contribution to PTO for our new lab, please contact Wendy Burbage at wlb1963@msn.com, or mail your check to LHS, attn. FUNraiser. We are on our way to attaining our goal of $9000 for some new state-of-the-art Apple computers, but a few more donations would be wonderful. OR, if you’d like to support our after-prom for junior and senior students in April, you may also want to consider a donation to this special event. Just use the memo portion on your check to specify your donation preference. Any and all donations are appreciated! It adds up, and it all benefits our LHS students. All donations are tax deductible.

Arapahoe Rd. in Centennial from Friday, September 27, through 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 23. Join your fellow students in either a 5K or 10K race through the beautiful streets of Littleton. We have been challenged to win the High School Competition for a third year in a row so we need to have as many participants as possible join the "Littleton High School" team. If our school has the largest percentage of participants, we win $1,000 again. GO LIONS!!!

Our focus this year for our PTO fundraising is the new STEM lab that will be in place soon at Littleton. Dr. Oaks reviewed her plan for the year, and with any luck, we will have some fabulous new computers up and running as soon as possible. If you did not have a chance to attend the fundraiser, but would like to make a contribution to PTO for our new lab, please contact Wendy Burbage at wlb1963@msn.com, or mail your check to LHS, attn. FUNraiser. We are on our way to attaining our goal of $9000 for some new state-of-the-art Apple computers, but a few more donations would be wonderful. OR, if you’d like to support our after-prom for junior and senior students in April, you may also want to consider a donation to this special event. Just use the memo portion on your check to specify your donation preference. Any and all donations are appreciated! It adds up, and it all benefits our LHS students. All donations are tax deductible.

Freshmen elections are Wednesday Sept. 4th, along with mandatory class meetings for the Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. Seniors will be nominating their song, flower and motto, as well as talking about Homecoming. Sophomores and Juniors will be discussing Homecoming and other class topics--Lions Follies, Winter Dance etc... Dr. Oaks will be coming to each meeting to share her expectations for the year and Student Body President Emily Cassio will be joining her. Girls Basketball open gyms are set to start up again this Wednesday night from 5:30-7:30 and will normally run on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30 throughout the fall. Boy’s Fall Lacrosse practice has begun! Voluntary practice is being held three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 at Goddard Middle School. Ball handling, team offense/defense and team building are all part of the philosophy (no conditioning). Go to the Boys LAX website under LHS Athletics for more information. Donation items for the garage sale can be dropped off in the theatre lobby Thursday Sep 5, Friday Sep 6, or the day of the garage sale, on Sep 7, between 7am-8am. (All unsold items will be donated to charity after the sale.) Volunteers to help set up and assist during the event are needed as well.
