Today is EVEN Period Day – Periods 2.4.6.8

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to our girls varsity team who beat the rival Heritage Eagles last night.  The team finished up the regular season at an impressive 14-9 standing and they are headed to the playoffs, beginning next Tuesday night!

Also, congratulations to our C Team and our JV team on finishing up great seasons as well!  We're very proud of you ladies!

Ms Prestel wants to give a HUGE shout out to all the fans at last night's boys basketball game; the fans, cheerleaders, poms and pep band showed true school spirit and class!!  You guys were loud and participated in the cheers from the cheerleaders--it was awesome to see!!  Who says LHS doesn't have spirit--go LIONS!

Academic Announcements: 

Mandatory Junior Advisement on late start Wed., Feb. 26, 7:20 - 9:00 am. Current juniors last names A-L will report to their assigned classrooms in the Business Hallway at 7:20 and juniors with last names M-Z will report to the Forum.  Room assignments will be posted outside the counseling office on Tues., Feb. 25.

We have two college admissions representatives coming from very popular schools to meet with Littleton students in the coming week.  On Monday, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs rep will be here at 12:30.  On Tuesday, the University of Wyoming rep will meet with students at 10:30.  Both meetings will take place in the Post Grad Center.

All speech and debate team members: our Yearbook photo is TODAY at our regular after school meeting. BE ON TIME!!

ATTENTION all Student Council students who are doing the READ ACROSS AMERICA event this year, there is a VERY, VERY IMPORTANT meeting in room 209 on Monday Feb. 24th at 2:20.  PLEASE be there, it is important for you to get all the information about your elementary school before the event on the 28th.  It will be short, around 15-20 minutes but I need to see EVERYONE!  If you cannot make the meeting, please see Ms Prestel ASAP. Thanks!

Attention all senior girls: If you are not a member of a SWAG group and still want to participate, you must contact either Sara Leovic, Lauren Bredar, or Scarlett Del Guidice to let them know you want to participate. Otherwise, we will assume you do not want to be a part of SWAG.

Sport Announcements:

Are you interested in participating in a Spring Sport? Then you must be registered for that sport and submit a current physical form by Monday, February 24, 2014. Go to LHS Athletic website for more information or stop by the Athletic Department.

Boys lacrosse is recruiting players.  Lacrosse clinic and conditioning is happening today at Goddard Middle School and tryouts are on Monday. We are a no cut sport.  If you are interested in playing, we want you!  If you have any questions about the program please come to the Athletic Department.

Thinking of playing women's lacrosse?  Come out and give it a try.  The Heritage/Littleton Lacrosse season is starting soon.  We have tryouts scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week. We are a no-cut sport, there is a place for everyone on the team.  Please see Cathy Benton or Joyce Cunningham for more information.

Congratulation to our Unified Basketball team for their win against South Suburban 94 - 88.   It was a tough game but our team prevailed.  Congratulations to the following players:
Aaron – 4 baskets
Jay – 10 baskets and 2 rebounds
Talon – 12 baskets and 5 rebounds
Matt – 12 baskets and 15 rebounds
Come out to support Unified’s last home game on Monday 2/24 against Castle View at 7:00pm.

The Technology Student Association is having a mandatory meeting in the tech lab TODAY at 2:20 to finalize payment and events as well as talk logistics involving the TSA state conference. If you cannot make this meeting due to a conflict talk to Mrs. Wilkins immediately.

Princeton Review is offering an opportunity for sophomores and juniors to take a FREE, full-length, proctored ACT test at Rock Canyon High School on Saturday February 22nd.  Students will receive a free report breaking down their scores. This is an ideal way to prepare for the statewide ACT test which all Juniors are required to take here at school in April.  Check the Princeton Review website for details about registering for the test.  There are a limited number of seats available.

Congratulations to our girls varsity basketball team who defeated Chaparral last night for their 13th win of the season!  Stacey Zuppa led the team with her great defense, 9 points, and 8 rebounds.  Laura Puchino added 16 points and Kiera Lindgren scored 11.

Come out to Heritage High School tomorrow night to support our Lions as they go for win #14 vs. the Eagles!

Three college admissions representatives will be visiting Littleton this week.  TODAY, a rep from Colorado State University at Pueblo will be here at 10 a.m to meet with interested students.  On Thursday, a University of Colorado at Denver rep will be here at 10 a.m., followed by a University of Kansas rep at 1:45.  All meetings will take place in the Post Grad Center.  Sign up on Naviance or in Post Grad.
