Congratulations to our Vocal Jazz Ensemble who received an excellent rating and 5 outstanding soloist awards yesterday at the UNC/Greeley Jazz Festival.

Congratulations to the Lady Lion tennis players who finished their league season with a resounding 5 - 2 victory against Highlands Ranch. Good luck at next week's regional tournament.

Your LION ULTIMATE guys team added another victory to their season record by beating Chatfield yesterday 12-7. Way to go Lions!

Raffle to help Prom--check out the quilt hanging in the library; it is being raffled off to help with the cost of Prom this year!  Tickets are $2 for 1, or $5 for 3 for this gorgeous quilt!

To the Parents of Juniors and Seniors: after-prom is a PTO sponsored event that is open to ALL LHS juniors and seniors. Students do not have to attend prom in order to go to after-prom, and the more the merrier! All juniors and seniors can purchase tickets to after-prom and have a great time with their friends at Brunzwick Zone.  Please encourage your Junior or Senior to attend.  This is a SAFE and FUN environment for our students after hours!

The Writing Center is open weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30-2:30 in the Library.

Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer team on their two - nil victory over Legend High School last night. Stephanie Kern-Allely and Carli Murray scored the goals and goalkeeper Shayna Watkins had ten saves and the shutout. Great job ladies!

The JV soccer team extended its winning streak yesterday with a 2-1 win over Legend. Goals by Tanya McCann and Nicolina Slencovich and great goalkeeping from Katie Roskam and Luz Torres lead the way to victory.

Sports Announcements:

Open gyms for girls basketball is TONIGHT from 6:00-8:00.  All girls interested in playing basketball are welcome to attend.  Let's get back on the court!

Correction from yesterday’s announcements - The JV girls soccer team had a huge 9-0 win over Conifer on Saturday.  Goals by Nicolina Slencovich,  Maddie Diaz, Maddie Fuchs, Lindsey Silverman, Allie Famigletti and Katie Roskam. Luz Torres also had a second half shut out in goal. Come watch the girls take on Chelsea tomorrow at 4.

Your LION ULTIMATE Frisbee teams continued their success yesterday as both the girls and the guys defeated East in Denver. Come out and catch the guys as they take on Chatfield here on Thursday at 4.

Academic Announcements: 

Juniors:  Reminder you will be taking the ACT on Wed., April 23, at 7:20 am.  Room assignments are posted in the main lobby and outside the counseling office.  Please check in the Counseling Office with any questions.  A reminder to please bring two, #2 (NOT mechanical) pencils, and an approved calculator. Please do NOT bring your cell phone or any other electronic devices, i.e., wrist watch with a timer.

Tomorrow, grades 9, 10 and 12 need to report to school at 11.   Classes begin for all students at 11:15 and it will be an even period day.  Please see our website for more information regarding bus schedules, lunch time and class period times.

Come out on TODAY to help clean our school and celebrate Earth Day. World Club will be hosting a school clean up. Meet us in room 206 to get your assignment. Today is an ODD Period Day – Periods 1.3.5.7

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the varsity girls tennis team. They tied for 2nd place at the Littleton Invitational--Every player won at least 1 match, and we were led by Anna Sonju's 1st place finish at #2 singles. Last chance to support the lady lions at home is this Tuesday against rival Heritage--hope to see you out there.

Congratulations to JV tennis players Francesca Petruzzi and Simone Dufrene for making it to the finals at the Heritage JV Tournament last Saturday. Way to go girls!

Congrats to Ian Cox, Rosa Hardarson and Aron Pino who lead the track team in scoring this weekend at the Grandview Invitational!  Check out the track team at the stadium this Friday and Saturday as they compete at the Liberty Bell Invitational.

Seniors who have not yet ordered their cap & gown from Jostens and who would like to borrow one, please see Mrs. Railey in the Counseling Office TODAY. Please note if you are borrowing a cap & gown, you will need to purchase a tassel.  Thank you!

ACT testing for all Juniors will happen Wednesday morning.  Classes for all other students begin at 11:15. Wednesday afternoon will be an even period day.
