Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Lion Ultimate mixed team for their victory against Heritage! The team had a huge turnout and fought well for their 15-6 win.

Special Events:

All LHS students and staff are invited to come and enjoy music in the Front Lobby this afternoon beginning right after school.  The LHS Jazz Ensemble will provide the music, everyone else come enjoy the fun! What a great way to start your weekend.

Academic Announcements: 

Juniors and seniors - take advantage of some college admissions representatives' visiting our school TODAY in the Post Grad Center.  Students can meet with admissions representatives from Bucknell at 8:00am, the University of Northern Colorado at 9am, and Colorado College at 11:30am.  Go to the Post Grad Center if you would like to hear more about these schools.

Attention Students and Parents - Mark your calendars for the upcoming "College Information Night" which will take place Wednesday, October 1st, 6:00-8:00 pm.

Juniors and Seniors who want to take classes @ ACC for 2nd Semester – we will have a Concurrent Enrollment meeting Thursday, October 2nd afterschool in room 102.

Students – do you need a computer? If you do not have a computer at home, we have free computers for you. These are refurbished desktop computers, not laptops. They use the XP operating system and are loaded with Open Office; please see Mr. Hahn in the counseling office to receive a voucher for a free computer and/or more information.

Student Recognition & Congratulations: 

Congratulations to the Men's Soccer C Team for their 3-2 win at Mt. Vista High School yesterday. Alden Kramer scored two goals and Joe Franz added the third goal for the win.  Come support the team next Monday when they take on Regis at 4 o'clock.

The Heritage/Littleton Varsity Softball team beat Thunderridge 11-9 yesterday.  Today we play Columbine.  Varsity plays at 3:30 and JV plays at 5:30 at Euclid Middle School!

Academic Announcements: 

Juniors and seniors will want to take advantage of some college admissions representatives' visits to our school today and tomorrow.  CSU will be in the Forum at 11, then Swarthmore will meet with students in Conference Rm 3 across from the Counseling Office at Noon.  Cottey College, a women's college in Missouri, will be in the Post Grad Center at 1.  Tomorrow, students can meet with admissions representatives from Bucknell, the University of Northern Colorado, Colorado College and Seattle Pacific University.  Sign up on Naviance and go to the Post Grad Center if you need a pass from class.

Today is an EIGHT Period Day – Periods 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8

Student Recognition & Congratulations: 

Congratulations to the boys tennis team. Their victory over Conifer yesterday raised their league record to 7 - 1. Stars of the match were freshman Zack Fox and JV alternate sophomore Charles Doremieux who won their 2-doubles match in a thrilling 3rd set tiebreaker. The team heads to Valor today for the completion of a match delayed due to rain.

Congratulations to the LHS volleyball program. Sophomore, JV and Varsity teams won their match against the visiting Conifer Lobos. The varsity team won 3 games to 1. Running the offense was sophmore setter, Emma Parkhurst, who dished out 31 assists. The leading scorer was senior captian, Kathryn Gerken with 10 kills and sophomore Mallory Burbage, added 9 kills on the night. Rachel Pearson and Emma Capri, lead the defense with 15 and 14 digs respectively. Congratulations ladies!!

The Lions Cross Country team made LHS proud at our own very wet and muddy invitational yesterday.  The girls team splashed its way to the third-place trophy out of 21 schools, led by Addi Iken, who was fourth, and Magda van Leeuwen ninth.  The boys team got a soaking-wet fourth-place out of 25 teams, with Bruce Barnstable in seventh, Colin Cannon in 10th, and Tommy Kail in 13th. Awesome job, Lions!

The JV soccer team defeated Golden 4 to 0 yesterday. This is the team's third shutout victory in a row and their 7th of the season.

 Academic Announcements: 

An admissions counselor from the University of Rochester will be in the Post Grad Center today at 9:30.  Tomorrow, representatives from CSU, Swarthmore, and Cottey College will be here to meet with juniors and seniors.

Students applying for National Honor Society, this is a friendly reminder that the NHS application deadline is TODAY at 2:30 pm.  Remember that you need to review it in person with either Ms. Fritz or Mr. Hahn and have them sign off on the checklist.

The Varsity Boys Soccer team defeated Green Mountain 2 to 0 yesterday. Hugo Ogilvie and Sam Korff scored goals in the big win.

Congratulations to your Lion Ultimate mixed team on their 11-3 victory over Cherry Creek yesterday. We head into our game against Heritage this Thursday with an early season 2-0 record.

Academic Announcements: 

Juniors and Seniors, an admissions rep from Calvin College is here TODAY at 1:30 to meet with interested students in the Post Grad Center.  Tomorrow, we will have a college admissions representative from the University of Rochester here at 9:30.  Sign up on Naviance to attend, or go to the Counseling office to get a pass from class.

Today is an ODD Period Day – Periods 1.3.5.7

Student Recognition & Congratulations: 

The Littleton boys cross country team won its second meet of the year, dominating the Middle Park Invitational at 8600' elevation, while the girls team was second.  Colin Cannon won his second title, and Bruce Barnstable, Tommy Kail, Tyler Fuller, and Ethan Ogden all broke the tape in the top 10. Addi Iken continued her hot streak with a second-place finish.  Great job, Lions!

Sports Announcements:

Come cheer on your Lions cross country team tomorrow at the splashiest meet of the year, the Littleton Runner's Roost Invitational at DeKoevend Park!  The first race is at 3:30Tuesday, so we hope to see you there!

This is a full week for Heritage/Littleton Varsity Softball. We play 4 league games - every day except Tuesday.   Monday's game is 4:30 at Castleview.  Good luck ladies!
