Student Recognition & Congratulations:

The Girls varsity soccer team defeated Arvada last night 10-0. Lots of goals and assists by lots of different people! Congratulations ladies!

Congratulations Lion's C Team Soccer for a fantastic 10-0 win over Thornton.  A great team effort finished on a PK goal by Alex Ortiz.

Congratulations to your Lion Ultimate guys' team with their 11-3 win over Arapahoe!! This a great way to go into the DI state qualifier this weekend and then on to state!

Please congratulate members of the Speech and Debate team for their performances at the NSDA/NFL National Qualifying tournament.  This tournament was on the 8th and 9th of April, but we just received our final results.  Although we did not qualify anyone for nationals this year, we still had some amazing performances, including Kelly Steinberg, who took 7th place in Humor and will be the 3rd alternate to nationals, Lucy Haggard will be the 7th alternate for Humor, and Samantha Burke will be the 6th alternate in Program Oral Interp, a new event this year. It was a great way for the team to end the season, and we will come back more polished and prepared for next year.

Special Events:

Everyone is welcome to come to the Great Debate in the forum, right after school on the 26th of April. Our debate teachers Mr. Saliman and Mr. Stedron are going head to head discussing liberal vs. conservative viewpoints on a variety of topics.  Don't miss this unique opportunity to watch the best and the brightest among us debate relevant issues affecting your lives.  Sponsored by the Political Committee.

MAKE A WISH IS HERE!! It is now time for us here at LHS to open our piggy banks, change jars, wallets, purses etc... to donate enough money to send little Dominic off to Walt Disney World!!  There are many ways you can participate:  Monday thru Friday you can buy a STAR in the cafe during lunches-only $1, put your name on it and we'll put it on the STAR WALL for you! Make A Wish shirts can also be picked up during lunches starting TODAY, through Thursday.  The design is different from what was on the order forms, but they look great.  IF you want to buy a shirt, we did get EXTRAS, the cost is $12.  Wear them on Friday 29th.
