CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Our speech and debate team is wearing red today as we get ready to kick off our season tomorrow at the Cherry Creek Classic.  Please wish the team luck, and team members, we have a meeting today after school in the speech room.  See you there.

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and general council members we have a Student Council General Council meeting Monday Nov. 6th at 2:25 in the forum.  PLEASE be there, we are getting our picture taken for the Yearbook!!  Please wear a class shirt or a student council shirt.

Attention poets and writers!  Jovan Mays is returning to LHS for a slam workshop on Tuesday, November 7th, after school in Ms. Thieme's room, room 1745.  Please bring your poems to workshop so we can be ready for the LPS District Poetry Slam, on Tuesday, November 14th.  Talk to your language arts teacher for more details

Wanna be a hero and help save lives?  Did you know that approximately 10% of all blood donations come from high school blood drives?
National Honor Society is sponsoring a blood drive right here at Littleton High School on November 9th and 10th.  If you would like to donate blood please contact Mr. Hahn.  There are a limited number of spots and donors will be signed up on a first-come-first-serve basis.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Preseason Camp for girls basketball begins next Monday and continues through Thursday from 3:00-5:00 each day.  Come sharpen your skills, get into basketball shape, and get ready for next week's tryouts and the season ahead!  Tryouts for girls basketball take place next Friday and Saturday.

BLOG ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The Swim Proficiency test at LHS will be Wednesday, November 8th at 2:30pm sharp! Sign-up in the Counseling Office, space is limited to the first 30 students.

POLITICAL Committee will meet after school today in from 2608 to discuss and research school and local issues such as graduation requirements and LPS proposed time changes.

ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Reminder: If you are enrolled in an Advanced Placement course, the second payment of the AP exam fee is due today November 1st. If the fee has not been paid in full by December 15th, a $45 late fee will be charged. Payments can be made with the bookkeeper or through the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus.

STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to your "Pride of Littleton" Marching Band for their extremely successful performances at the CBA State Marching Band Championships at the Air Force Academy this past weekend.  The Band earned their highest scores ever in the Quarterfinals round on Friday and the Semi-Finals round on Saturday.  The "Pride of Littleton" finished 11th overall in the State.  Go Band!!"

Congratulations to all the students, families, faculty and staff who participated in the Stride on Sunday.Through your efforts we had the greatest high school participation and we received $1,000 for our school from the Littleton Foundation. Great job everyone!! GO LIONS!!

Come and enjoy the Fall Choir & Orchestra tonight, Monday, at 7 p.m. in the "Mane Stage" Theatre.  All 7 choirs and the orchestra will perform.  It is free!

Ready for some good old fashioned Halloween fun!? Well, Student Council has the answer...today Oct 30, there will be a Pumpkin Carving Contest in the cafeteria after school. Come on down and bring your friends! You could win a prize for most creative, spookiest or most LHS spirit! It's free so come along!

Tomorrow is Halloween,  and that means Student Council's annual Costume Contest!! This year the categories are: Cutest, Most Original, Scariest, Best Group and Funniest.  Prizes will be awarded to the top costumes...so, head down to the cafeteria during ANY off period or during both lunches to get your picture taken. Teachers are welcome too!!

Halloween is here and that means you can send your friends some spooky messages via Halloween O Grams!! Find a Student Council member and for only $1 you can send a fun Halloween message to your friends and help out LHS Student Council events! So, buy lots and make your friend's day with a message from you!

Come join Sign Language Club today October 30th in room 1102! Snacks will be provided!

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Congratulations to Senior Addi Iken on her third place finish at the State Cross Country Meet over the weekend!  Junior Christian Sapakoff also raced at State. Christian navigated the course well, cutting about 30 seconds off his time from last year. Both Christian and Addi finished third in their divisions on the high altitude course at the Regional Meet in Frisco. And hats off to our Girls Team who received the Jeffco Sportsmanship Award as decided by Jeffco coaches!

Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Soccer team for taking the Jeffco League Championship. They have also won the State Playoff First Round game and will be playing Kennedy on Tuesday, October 31 at 3:00 pm at John F Kennedy. Go Lions! Congratulations to Coach Pedja on winning Coach of the Year for Jeffco League Boys Soccer! A well deserving win!

 Attention Lady LionFish there will be suit sizing for the team suit on Thursday November 2 - 3:00 at the pool. Tuesday and Thursday this week and next, Coach Kelly will be running preseason swim practice from 3 pm - 4 pm
