Congratulations to the FBLA Stock Market Challenge team of Andrew Carpender, Christian Sapakoff, Lily Trautman, Natalie Ware, Eliska Martinez, Grady Redding and Jenna Silverman for finishing 3rd out of 21 teams in the challenge. They finished with a 62.78% increase in their portfolio with the final value of their portfolio being $813,934.77! Nice work, team!

Please cheer on our Speech and Debate team as they head out to compete at the Demon Invitational at Golden High School tomorrow. Members of the team - we have a meeting today in the speech room after school.

National Honor Society members - you have a meeting at 7:45 am in the Forum on Tuesday, November 13th.

LHS showcases the campus to prospective freshmen for the 2019-2020 school year starting at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, November 14th, for the Lion Pride Preview. We want to show families what an awesome place LHS is for them AND their teenager(s)! PTO has a table at the event to welcome folks, answer questions, etc. We need donations of baked goods/bottled water to help welcome new parents. Good luck to our Lions UNIFIED bowling team as they will compete tomorrow in the Colorado Special Olympics-CHSAA Inaugural State Bowling Championships at Monaco Lanes in Denver. Team members include Adrianna Avalos-Moore, Scott Bourg, Tinley Enzminger, and Samantha Ostlee. Our LHS squad is one of only 20 teams from across the state to quality for the state finals. Wish them all the best! Go, Lions!

Our Speech and Debate team had a strong start to the season at the Cherry Creek Classic on Saturday. Leading the way for the Lions was senior Julia Valdez who placed 4th in poetry. Also receiving outstanding mention were Ozzie Froelich, Jack Rayner, Ivy Secrest, Addie Bouck, Kate Lurie, Hayley Hamilton, Rebecca Zickerman, Jack Rogers, Kait Schultz, Will Luem, and Ashlyn McVicar. Great way to start the season!

Sources of Strength Peer Leaders and Adult Advisors will meet tomorrow at 7:45 am in Room 1219 to plan our next campaign.

The Model United Nations Club will meet in Room 2609 tomorrow morning between 7:45 and 8:15 am. All interested students are welcome!

There is a General Student Council meeting in the Forum tomorrow at 7:45 am.

Preseason Camp for Girls Basketball begins today and continues through Thursday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm each day. Come sharpen your skills, get some runs in, and get set for tryouts on the 12th and 13th. This is a great year to tryout for the Girls Basketball program, and we hope to see you on Monday!

Boys Basketball Preseason Camp is this week, Monday through Wednesday, 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Tryouts are the 12th and 13th. Make sure you get registered and cleared before tryouts.
