Attention, all you Juniors! This is a reminder to sign yourself up for your mandatory one-on-one meeting with the Post Grad Center. You've been emailed the link to SignUpGenius, and your seminar teacher has also given you that link. These meetings will be held during half of one of your off periods, to begin the conversation about what your plans are for your life after high school. If you have questions, please stop by Post Grad!

Attention, Juniors, an admissions rep from Elmhurst College will be here to meet with students on Tuesday, February 12th. If you'd like to attend this meeting, please sign up on Naviance and stop by Post Grad to pick up a pass!

A reminder, registration for the 2019 - 2020 school year is today for current 10th graders for junior year! Head to the Forum during your A or B lunch!

The Winter Dance will be held tomorrow from 8:00 -11:00 pm in the South Gym. Tickets are $8 pre-sale in the cafeteria during lunches or $10 at the door. Students must bring school ID to the dance. Have fun!

Current 10th and 11th graders that would like to take classes at Arapahoe Community College need to attend the Concurrent Enrollment and ACTS meeting on Wednesday, February 13th, at 3:35 pm in Room 1610. Please see your counselor with any questions before the meeting.

Students, let’s pack the house with purple tonight for the Boys Basketball game against Green Mountain! Our six spectacular seniors will be recognized at 7:15, just before the start of the Varsity game! Go, Lions!

Come out to cheer on your LPS hockey team this weekend. Tonight, they face Mountain Vista at 7:45 at South Suburban Ice Rink. On Saturday night, the team will celebrate Senior Night before their 6:30 game against Mullen at South Suburban. Good luck, Lions!

Sierra Martinez: I am Sierra. This is what makes me feel like I belong. When I played soccer, there was another soccer player that helped me improve my skills. DECA will be hosting a community service event to write letters to soldiers deployed overseas today after school. If you are interested in participating, please come to Room 1976 from 3:45 to 4:15; supplies will be provided. We hope to see you there!

The Girls Ultimate Frisbee team is having a meeting today after school from 3:40 - 4:15 in room 1215. We will have treats and henna. Come to learn about joining Ultimate Frisbee!

Political Committee will meet in room 2608 at 8:00 am tomorrow. See you there!

Forty FBLA students attended and competed yesterday in a variety of events, and an astounding 35 of these students qualified to compete at the FBLA state conference in April! The following students placed in first: Kenneth Huynh, Rory Stark, Danyah Al Saaid, Izzy Colkitt, Barrett Small, Grady Redding, Sarah Young, Lane Gray, Addi Vander Velde, Andrew Carpender, Eliska Martinez, Breighton Miller, Jenna Silverman, and Bryan Sirner. To see the complete list of state qualifiers, please see the FBLA Announcement Board in the Business Hallway! Please join me in congratulating them all; their hard work really paid off! We are Lion proud!

Littleton High School’s newest club, Jewish Student Connection, offers an opportunity to chat, laugh, learn and eat--yes EAT!--all with a Jewish twist! Everyone is welcome! Our next meeting is tomorrow at 7:45 am, in room 1748. We hope to see you there!

The Girls Ultimate team is having a meeting in Verbos' art room after school tomorrow from 3:40 - 4:15 pm. Come to receive information about getting involved in the upcoming season.

NGWSD is an annual day of observance held during the first week of February to acknowledge the accomplishments of female athletes, recognize the influence of sports participation for women and girls, and honor the progress and continuing struggle for equality for women in sports. Shout out to all our Lady Lion student athletes, past and present. Way to represent our school and community!

Please listen carefully -- in the Theater: Adams-Berger, Mr. Koepke, Chen, Lukes, McShea, Oaks, Stutzman and Watkins. In the Forum: Connie Martin, Gould, Griffin, Rankin, Hahn, Uhl, Kryssi Martin and Weygandt. Juniors should go directly to these locations. Your teacher will meet you there and take attendance.

Be sure to get your spirit on this week by participating in our dress-up days! Tomorrow, dress as you would if you were going to the Coachella music festival. Get your sci-fi on for Thursday, and as always, we will end the week with class t-shirt day on Friday! We hope to see you all dressed up!

Any LHS student is invited to participate! Students who would like to sign-up can do so at the Attendance Office.

Congratulations to your Unified Basketballers for their 94-87 victory over South Suburban. Scott Bourg had 22 points, 17 rebounds and seven assists, Gracie Lengyel added 12 points and five assists, and Xavier Renshaw had a career-high 12 points. Way to represent, Lions!

Your LPS Hockey team had a great week of hockey last week with 3 wins! They defeated Chatfield 5-1, Columbine 4-2 and Kent Denver 3-2. Come out to cheer the team on this weekend. On Friday night, they face Mountain Vista at 7:45 at South Suburban Ice Rink. On Saturday night, the team will celebrate senior night before their 6:30 game against Mullen at South Suburban.

Sierra Martinez: Every day this week, Sources of Strength will be talking about our "We Belong" campaign. We are very fortunate at LHS to have a diverse population! We want to celebrate what makes us unique, and what brings us together. I am Sierra, and I belong! You belong! We belong!

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Great Scott! Our Speech and Debate team was totally tubular at the Back to the Future tournament held at Discovery Canyon High School on Saturday. We made like a tree and got out of there with some impressive trophies, too, as Senior Julia Valdez placed 2nd in poetry, Senior Arik McCubbin placed 2nd in Oratory, Ally Procopio placed 6th in Informative, Senior Jack Rogers placed 4th in Humor, and Hayley Hamilton went undefeated in Lincoln Douglas debate, placing 3rd. Woah. That’s heavy!

There is a General Council meeting for all Student Council members tomorrow at 7:45 am. We will be handing out Val-O-Grams and signing up for Read Across America!

Congratulations to our Lady Lion Fish on wrapping up a successful swim season! All of the girls swam well at Leagues last week, setting more than 30 personal bests, and at League Finals, Katie Hill, Sophia Groustra, Makayla Franklin, Erin Green, Morgan Sholes, Shannon Conner, Gwen FitzSimmons, Grace Amine, Delia Leonard, and Lily Trautman all swam amazingly and dropped a ton of time! What a great way to end the season!
