STUDENT BULLETIN

Students and staff, we want to remind you that International Day is planned for next Wednesday morning. Students, on Wednesday, when the bell rings to go to class at 9:30 am, you will all go to your seminar classes. Your seminar teachers will have your International Day assignments and they will be based on what you signed up for earlier this winter. We are excited to finally come back to this activity and are really excited about the opportunities for you that morning. Teachers, please keep your eye on the Monday staff bulletin for updates and details.

Seniors, Are you planning to pursue a future in the skilled trades, like being an electrician, plumber, welder, esthetician, barber or certified nursing assistant? If so, you can take part in a celebration here at school on May 1st. Stop by Post Grad to find out more.

Attention Juniors and Seniors! An admissions rep from ACC will be here Tuesday at 11:45 am to meet with students in Post Grad. Please stop by Post Grad to pick up a pass from class.

Also, Juniors and Seniors, prom royalty nomination voting will be open until the end of today. Please check your school email to participate.

After Prom is almost here! Tickets for After Prom at LHS will go on sale the week of April 22 in the Cafeteria during both A & B lunches on Tuesday (4/23), Thursday (4/25) and Friday (4/26). We can accept cash or check for ticket purchases.

For just $20, your After Prom ticket gets you henna tattoos/painting, pool games, casino night and a midnight breakfast bar with coffee bar PLUS a t-shirt and a few surprises! After Prom is held at LHS from 11:30 pm to 2:30 am on Sat., April 27. After Prom is NOT a lockout. (Once you leave, you cannot come back in though.) You DON'T have to go to prom to come to After Prom if you're a junior or senior.

All AP students: just a reminder that we are Pre-bubbling today A and B lunch as well as after school. You can also join us on Monday before school, during A or B lunch or after school. We will be in the form. It only takes about 20 minutes. See Mrs. Zerr in counseling if you have any questions.

Today is Disney day! Dress in your favorite Disney character and stop by the cafe during lunch to lip sync your favorite Disney tunes!! Today we will be selling wristbands and stars for $3 in the cafe. Get in the spirit and let's make Ahmed's wish come true!

Interested in student leadership? Then you need to run for a Student Council Officer position next year! Pick up an election packet in either Counseling or Student Services. Packets must be turned in to Student Services by Monday, April 22nd. You must also sign up for a time-slot to have your speech recorded either after school on April 22nd or Tuesday before school on April 23rd. Sign-up sheets and instructions are in Student Services. To do this, click the edit icon under each school. This is important so that we can send your final transcript to the correct school.

Also, Seniors, if you've received one or more financial aid award letters from your schools, or when you do receive award letters and would like to have some helping understanding them, stop by Post Grad. We can help!

Attention Juniors and Seniors. Admissions reps from the following colleges will be here to meet with prospective students this week. CU - Boulder today and the University of Kansas and Johnson & Wales University on Thursday. Please sign up to attend on your Naviance account and stop by Post Grad to pick up a pass from class.

Come Celebrate the 20th-Anniversary of Jazz in the Lobby this Wednesday right after school in the Front Lobby. We will have live Jazz Music and Cake!

Admission is $3, and it starts at 5:30! Thursday we have the Penny Wars kick-off, so bring your pennies! Friday is Disney day! The Key Club meeting has been rescheduled for April 18th at 7:50 a.m. in room 2620 to accommodate last week's testing schedule. Please bring money collected for the Thirsty Thirty project. We will be accepting nominations to run for next year's officer positions at this meeting.

Great Job Track-sters!

The JV boys lacrosse team got its first win of the season on Saturday with a 13-3 victory over Mountain Range HS. The offense was led by Mac Upton and Nathan Elder while the defense got strong performances from Kaiden Ginther and Henry Simmonds.

Both the Varsity and JV are back in action today with home games against Conifer. The JV game is at 4:30 and the Varsity game in at 6:00. come out and support the Lions!

Soccer Fans! Three home series this week for LHS Women’s Soccer: Tuesday, April 16th vs. Wheat Ridge; Thursday, April 18th vs. Golden; and Friday, April 19th vs. Thomas Jefferson: Thanks again for all the support - a special shout out to the Men’s Swim Team!

Our rescheduled girls basketball meeting will be this Wednesday, April 17th immediately after school in Health Room 1329. All players who plan to participate this summer and play next winter should plan on attending. We will briefly discuss summer basketball opportunities for this off-season during this quick but important meeting.
