After Prom is almost here! Tickets for After Prom at LHS are on sale in the Cafeteria during both A & B lunches today. We will accept cash or check for ticket purchases.

Here’s your chance to win a FREE After Prom ticket - we are going to give two lucky Juniors and two lucky Seniors a chance to win today! Winners will need to come to the After Prom ticket sales table today during lunch to receive their ticket and free t-shirt!

Students and staff, please join Jewish Student Connection in welcoming Holocaust survivor Osi Sladek to the Forum, third period, Monday, April 29. Mr. Sladek will share his story of survival and triumph and field your questions. This is sure to be a memorable event. All are welcome!

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Attention Student Council Exec Board members! We have our last Exec Board meeting on Monday, April 29th in room 2619 at 7:45 a.m.

Attention General Student Council members! We have our last GenCo meeting on Tuesday, April 30th at 7:45 in the forum. We are voting on the Homecoming Theme for next fall, and giving out information about elections and the banquet.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Come support girls soccer this week and make our away games feel like home games. Varsity and JV play George Washington at GW high School. Varsity will be at 4 pm, JV at 5:30pm.

Come pack the stadium on Monday for our Girls' Soccer Senior Night! Our Lions take on the Evergreen Cougars at 6 pm with Senior Night introductions starting at 5:30 pm. Wear your purple and gold and support your team!

Tryouts will be held on Friday, April 26th from 4:30-7:30 pm at Active Athletics for any gymnast interested in trying out for the Fall 2019 LPS/Heritage Girls Gymnastics Team! Please see Head Coach, Andrea Miesen, when you arrive.

Congratulations to all FBLA members who competed at the April 22 to 24, 2019 State Leadership Conference. Everyone worked hard and produced fantastic projects and presentations! We took 36 students to state, had 23 finalists and 13 national qualifiers!  Click here for a list of students.

The Girls Ultimate team beat Arapahoe/Cherry Creek, 9-8. Shoutout to Cynthia Slater for many amazing catches that allowed them to win. The girls have one more game before they head to the state championships.

Congrats to the Boys JV Track Team who finished 3rd at the Jeffco JV Meet Wednesday!

Top 3 finishers for Boys and Girls were:

Jacob Faulk 3rd in the Mile

Kai Saito 3rd in the 100m Dash

Boys 4x1 and 4x4 were 3rd

Connar Tubbergen 3rd in Shot Put

Margaret Bird 3rd in Discus

Jalen Capps 2nd in the 400m Dash and 3rd in Pole Vault

For just $20, your After Prom ticket gets you henna tattoos/painting, pool games, casino night and a midnight breakfast bar with coffee bar PLUS a t-shirt and a few surprises! After Prom is held at LHS from 11:30 pm to 2:30 am this Saturday. After Prom is NOT a lockout. (Once you leave, you cannot come back in though.) You DON'T have to go to prom to come to After Prom if you're a junior or senior.

Key Club will meet tomorrow morning at 7:50 AM in room 2620. We will be voting for next year's executive officers. Please try to attend. If you are a Key Club member and cannot be at the meeting, please see Ms. Anthamatten to vote.

STUDENT BULLETIN

Students and staff, we want to remind you that International Day is planned for this tomorrow morning. Students, tomorrow when the bell rings to go to class at 9:30 am, you will all go to your seminar classes. Your seminar teachers will have your International Day assignments, and they will be based on what you signed up for earlier this winter. We are excited to finally come back to this activity and are really excited about the opportunities for you that morning. Teachers, please read the Monday staff bulletin for updates and details.

Come support girls soccer this week and make our away games feel like home games. The girls varsity team plays tonight against Green Mountain at 7pm at Lakewood Memorial Field.

The LHS Boys Lacrosse teams had a successful road trip to Ponderosa HS yesterday. The Varsity team beat Ponderosa 15-6 behind strong performances from seniors Tyler Ervin and Luke Beauman and a dominant performance by Nick Schreiber on face-offs. The JV team won a 6-5 OT thriller. The Lions got great goaltending from freshman Galen Gifford and a clutch overtime goal from sophomore Henry Simmonds. The Lions are back in action on Wednesday when they travel for an away game against Golden HS.
