Freshman Class Election Results are in!
First of all, thank you to all of the candidates-- it's not easy to get up on stage and put yourself out there-- well done!

Next, we'd like to congratulate: Dylan Hoover, Freshman Class President, Olivia Fendrich, Freshman Class Vice President, and Deanna Sokol, Freshman Class Public Relations Officer. Great job, everyone! We are looking forward to a great year!

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Interested in Boys Lacrosse? There will be a quick informational meeting for all students interested in playing Boys Lacrosse this year. Please meet with Coach Paredes outside the Athletic entrance immediately after school today.
Coach will hand out information for students and answer any questions. New students and players are encouraged to attend. No prior lacrosse experience is necessary.

Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for two great matches this week to start off the season. On Tuesday, the team defeated Rangeview. Last night the boys took down Thomas Jefferson, winning all varsity matches while cruising to a 7-0 win. Shout out to the JV players as well for their victory over the Spartans. Great job, Boys Tennis!

There will be an "Officer Only" FCCLA/Culinary Club meeting tomorrow in room 1972,
right after school. Please bring your $10 and officer application.

The first FBLA meeting is tomorrow at 7:50 am to 8:20 am in Room 1975. Meet the officers, connect friends, and have a donut!

Key Club will meet in room 2620 at 7:50 am tomorrow morning (August 29th) for a general informational meeting. All are welcome - 8th through 12th grade whether you have been involved in Key Club before or not. Key Club is a service organization sponsored by the Kiwanis. If you'd like to meet new people, make friends and improve your leadership skills all while serving in your local and international community, then this is the club for you! There will be breakfast burritos!

STUDENT BULLETIN
Attention Students-Tomorrow is our Academic Lettering Ceremony during Seminar. Please report to the following locations, do not go to your Seminar classroom:

9th graders- Theater

10th and 11 graders- North Gym

12th graders- South Gym

10th graders will sit on the north side of the gym, 11th graders will sit on the south side of the gym. 12th graders will sit in the chairs on the floor with their teachers. Students, look for your teacher's name on the rows to know where to sit. Attendance will be taken then.

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Model United Nations Club will meet in Room 2609 in the Social Studies hallway this Wednesday after school between 3:30-3:45 pm. All students who are interested in international affairs and participating in Model United Nations conferences in Colorado and potentially one in Denmark this upcoming February should attend.

Today the LPS Girls Gymnastics Team is hosting a fundraiser at Larkburger from 4-7:30 pm! 25% of the proceeds benefit the Gymnastics Team. So, don't forget to mention them when you're ordering your tasty burger!

Way to go, girls cross country! With hot, dry and dusty conditions, the Lady Lions showed their toughness powering through true cross country running on the State course at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede last Friday. Grace Valentine, Sydney Sheldon, and Morgan Kelly led the Lions girls’ varsity squad. At the Englewood High Windjammer meet on Saturday, our freshmen ruled. McAllister Stewart was number one for Littleton in the girls’ varsity race while Scarlett Montoya finished fourth overall in the girls’ open race.

Congrats to the boys cross country team! Despite a more than 30-minute lightning delay, your Lions boys harriers raced their hearts out at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede in Colorado Springs on Friday. Evan Moore and Cooper Brown were neck-and-neck in the boy's varsity race finishing first and second for the Lions. Grady Redding wasn’t far behind as the number three runner. At Windjammer on Saturday, sophomores Liam Brack, Karsten Beich and Chris Jonsen were one, two and three for the Lions in the boy's varsity competition. Next up, the Arapahoe Warrior Invite on Fri, August 30th at deKoevend Park. Come cheer on your Lions Cross Country team!

STUDENT BULLETIN
Students, Of course, many of you may think SAC (School Accountability Committee) sounds boring and official, but SAC is one of the key committees that shapes Littleton High School. We meet Monthly on Wednesdays from 3:45-5:00 pm. The Committee consists of students, teachers, the principal, community members, and parents. A typical meeting requires a student to listen and add his or her opinion to the conversation. Each student serves a one-year term. If you are interested, please complete and bring the Nomination form to the main office by 8:00 am Friday, August 30th. If you need a nomination form, you can get it from the main office.

LHS Thespian Troupe #83 wants to invite you to an ice cream social! If you are interested in joining this nationally recognized program for outstanding students in theatre arts, please come to the theater classroom after school tomo 27th from 3:40-4:30 pm. Have some ice cream, meet current troupe members, and find out more about our exciting plans for this year.

Congratulations to your "Pride of Littleton" Marching Band. The Band competed at the Colorado State Fair Grand Parade competition this past Saturday. The Band placed 1st in their Division, and they placed 1st Overall as the Grand Sweepstakes Winning band among 21 competing marching bands. This is the first time the LHS Marching Band has won the Grand Sweepstakes at this event.

Do you love to doodle on your math homework? Then we have a place for you! Art Club and National Art Honor Society invite you to our first meeting after school on Wednesday, August 28th in Room 1218 (Ms. Jeannelle's room). Come color outside the lines with us!
