STUDENT BULLETIN

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Sources of Strength is focusing on Gratitude and Generosity this month. We invite all LHS students to join us for a plate of pancakes before school next Wednesday, Nov 13, in the cafeteria. Join us in practicing generosity by bringing a non-perishable food item to donate to a local food bank.

MOCK TRIAL - meets in room 2608 on Monday after school. We will be going over the 2020 court case and assigning roles.

Twelve LHS students attended the CSU Math Day Thursday. They were able to learn about high-level mathematics and also compete. Congratulations to Gwen FitzSimmons, Grady Redding, Jay Landers, and Tim Currie, whose team advanced five rounds into the competition phase-only losing to teams that went on to the final four.

Speech and debate team, you have a meeting today in the speech room after school. See you there.

Littleton High School has a new Chess Club that meets Thursdays from 4-5:00 pm in-room 0215X (computer lab) starting next week. Open to beginners and experts, all are welcome.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Boys basketball informational meeting today at 3:40 pm in the health room. All students interested in trying out for basketball should plan to attend this brief meeting.

If you are interested in joining Unified Basketball and missed the meeting...come see Mrs. Encinias or Mrs. Stukey in Rm 1816 and pick up a packet.

For the 1st time in more than a decade, your Girls Gymnastics Team placed in the Top Ten at the State Championship competition yesterday! Congratulations, Ladies, on being 7th in the State! Kudos to a remarkable season, Gymnasts.

Any students interested in wrestling this winter need to attend weight certifications this coming Wednesday, November 13th, at 4:00 PM in the Wrestling Room. The first practice is Monday, November 18th, at 4:00 PM in the Wrestling Room.

For the first time in 7 years, your Girls Gymnastics Team has qualified for State as a Team!!! This means they get to compete an entire Varsity Team on all four events as they compete for the State Championship. The State Competition is today at Thornton High School. Congratulations, Ladies! And, best of luck at the State Meet today!

Any girls considering trying out this season are strongly encouraged to attend! Tryouts will take place on Monday, November 18th, and Tuesday, November 19th. We look forward to seeing you there and a great season ahead!

Our speech and debate veteran team members kicked off their season at the Cherry Creek Classic on Saturday, and they sure delivered. Receiving 'excellent' mention were Jack Rayner and Christian Watson. Receiving 'outstanding' mention were Nicholas Hopper, Kate Lurie, Hayley Hamilton, and Ally Procopio. The Senior women led the way for the Lions, however, with Natalie Parkhurst placing 6th in Humor Interp, Samantha Adamson placing 6th in Program of Oral Interp, and Rebecca Zickerman placing 3rd in Original Oratory. Great start to the season, Lions!
