Anyone say talent show, I mean Lions Follies?
Is anyone interested in participating in our virtual Lions Follies? We will hold informational meetings in room 1606 today, right after school. You will need to be there by 3:35 pm. You do not need to attend all of the meetings, just one of them. See Mr. Wentz or Ms. Zerr if you have any questions.

LHS, get ready for a "Sweet Spirit Week" starting Monday, Feb. 8th!
Anyone interested in decorating the hallways, drop off valentine decorations at the attendance office and help Student Council decorate after school on either Monday or Tuesday. Join our 'Sweet' Spirit Days - Monday and Tuesday - Laffy taffy (wacky day); Wednesday - Almond Joy Day (Hawaiian); Thursday/Friday - Hershey Kisses Day (Class Tee Shirt and Mask)!  Traditional Val-O-Grams will be available in the cafeteria at all lunches, so you can write a note to your loved one and have it displayed on the wall, compliments of Stuco!  Don't miss out, spread the love and join the fun!

Key Club will meet after school in the forum on Monday, February 8th, to work on a project to provide clean water in underserved areas. This meeting is open to all students A-Z, but you must sign up on the Key Club website and bring a signed participation waiver to the meeting to participate. More information can be found on the Key Club website.

Violet Art & Literary eMagazine is now accepting submissions for the "Pandemic Voices" issue. See the website at https://violetartmagazine.wixsite.com/littletonhigh for details. The deadline for entry is March 1st, 2021. You may enter art, poems, or short stories. Email violetartmagazine@gmail.com if you have any questions.

LPS offers two courses for students interested in the field of education: Teacher Cadet and Early Childhood Education. Both of these CTE courses are located at Arapahoe Community College with college credit opportunities.

CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to the Early High School Brain Bowl Team (Keen Schledorn-Mott, Evan Siler, Jillian, and Genevieve Kosanovich). We competed virtually last Saturday against 16 regional schools and placed 5th! We are proud of you!

ACADEMICS:
Attention next year’s juniors and seniors: Registration is open for ACTS classes for next fall. Please see your counselor if you are interested in these programs. ACTS classes include Cosmetology, Health Sciences, Auto Tech, Teacher Cadet, Aviation, Fire Science and Commercial Photography, among others. Space is limited for each class, please see your counselor ASAP.

CONGRATULATIONS:
On Saturday, our speech team competed at the Ocelot Invitational tournament, a speech only tournament held virtually at STRIVE Prep SMART Academy.  Grady Redding continued his amazing season, advancing to semifinals and placing 7th in Informative Speaking. Lane Greenly kept her hot streak alive, placing 3rd in Poetry. And Eliana Joy Volin won her second tournament of the year, placing 1st overall in Poetry. Littleton also placed 3rd overall in team sweeps. Next weekend, we travel to a galaxy far, far away for the Mandalorian Invitational at Discovery Canyon. It's still a virtual tournament, but...this is the way!

Today, February 2, we will be distributing registration cards to our current 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. Students will begin the registration process in Seminar tomorrow, February 3. Registration cards will be available, during A & B lunches, and after school (3:31 - 3:45).
9th graders will pick up their cards in the Main Lobby.
10th graders will pick up their cards in the Library.
11th graders will pick up their cards in the Senior Hall (outside of the Cafe).
Students are responsible for picking up their registration card so they can participate in the Seminar lesson tomorrow, February 3.

Congratulations to our LHS hoopsters, grapplers, and swimmers as our Season B kicked off last week with basketball, wrestling, and swimming events.. We are still working out the kinks of our video streaming system, thanks for your patience. Go Lions!
