Girls Tennis Pre-season drop-in meeting is on Monday, December 6th, BOTH LUNCHES in room 1744 in the Language Arts Hall. Come by to say hi to the coaches, pick up a flyer to order gear, sign up for the google classroom, request uniform size, and learn about all of the exciting events planned. Get excited for a great season that Starts February 28th.

Want a chance to make a kid's day at our Sister School in Uganda, Africa? Then head to the cafeteria hallway and take a snowflake off of the GIVING SNOWMAN! It will have the age and gender and suggested present of an orphan at the Musana Orphanage--in Iganga, Uganda! This orphanage was started by two LHS alumni in 2009 and has 82 kids living year-round on their campus. They would LOVE to have a present from you to help them have a wonderful Christmas and New Year! Take your presents to the forum to Ms Presrtel and turn them in by Friday Dec 17th. Thanks!

Students - we have an increase in food delivery services being used by our student body. It is important to know this is not allowed. Please do not order food for delivery to the school as it uses resources and time for our front office staff. Thank you.

CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to our varsity wrestling team for their home dual meet win last night over the Centaurus Warriors. The Lions scored 36 team points, including pins from Sophomore Luke Suro and Seniors Kai Saito and Isaak Hosford. The team wrestles again this weekend in the Mike Stanley Invitational at Fairview High School.

CONGRATULATIONS:
The Saturday before Thanksgiving saw members of your Lions Cross Country team competing against runners from five states at the Nike Southwest Regional Cross Country Meet in Tempe, Ariz. We fielded both boys' and girls' teams, and they came ready to race. Congratulations to Grady Redding, who was 21st overall in the Boys Medium School Open Race out of more than 200 runners! Those notching career PRs included Holly Burns, Dan Lamey, Tatum Pratt, Kaden Pullar, Grady Redding, and Luke Suro. The season's best times were run by Sophia Sheldon, Sydney Sheldon, and McAllister Stewart. Great job, Lions!

Reminder to Seniors: You need to request transcripts BOTH on Naviance as well as IN PERSON by filling out a paper Transcript Request Form. There is a $5 transcript fee per school, payable by cash or check. Ms. Inbody, our Registrar, needs to see the whites of your eyes when you turn in the paper form and transcript fee.

Join FCCLA/Culinary Club for a Winter Party tomorrow at 7:30 am. We will have a sugar cube house decorating contest, hot cocoa bar, and other yummy treats.

Key Club will meet tomorrow in room 2620 at 7:45 a.m. All are welcome. We'll be making decorations for the holiday season.

CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to our varsity girls basketball team, who began their Mission last night by defeating the Westminster Wolves 63-38 in a great team win! Senior Marlee Hernandez-Priest, junior Dalana Jakovljevic, and sophomore Penny Urquhart all chipped in 12 points each. The Lions travel to take on the Lewis-Palmer Rangers on Friday night!

This conference would be a great opportunity to gain experience in international diplomacy, acquire IB CAS hours in an international setting, as well as add to students college applications. No prior Model United Nations experience is necessary. Please contact Mr. Gordon (jgordon@lps.k12.co.us) if you are unable to attend or have additional questions.

CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to our speech and debate team, who competed on November 20th at the virtual Raptor Rumble. Taking home top honors were Elan Sturtz - 8th place in Lincoln Douglas debate, Zach Long and Anna Staiert - 3rd place in Public Forum debate, Virginia Frau - 2nd place in Humor, Bella Houck - 2nd place in Drama, and Eliana Joy Volin with her 2nd consecutive 1st place win in Poetry. Excellent work, y'all.
