Lions-The Liberty Bell Track Meet starts today after school and goes all day tomorrow. ALL the parking lots will be full, and it will be very hectic around here. Be advised! (And have a great weekend!!!)

If you are looking for something to do tomorrow, 4-30 before prom, you could come to D'Evelyn High school and cheer on our Lions Baseball team again. Varsity plays at noon, and JV plays at 2:30 pm.

Got Sneakers? LHS Girls Basketball is collecting old sneakers for recycling to benefit our program! If you have old athletic shoes to donate, please bring them to Coach Prince's room (Rm. 1610) or drop them off at one of the other collection boxes around the building. Finding those old shoes in the back of your closet at home could really help our team get where they need to go this summer!

The Yearbooks are Here! Yearbooks will be available for pick-up in the LHS Main Lobby on Tuesday, May 3rd, in the morning. If you pre-ordered a yearbook, please come to the main lobby and pick up your yearbook. If you didn't pre-order and want to purchase a book- we will have books for sale for $75 cash or check only beginning on May 3rd. These books are first-come, first-serve, and once they are sold out, we cannot get anymore, so don't delay! See Mrs. Fisher with any questions.

We want to invite you to join us for a fun, community-building project - Campus Clean-up Day! On Saturday, May 7 we will come together to sweep up some pine needles, plant some flowers and place some mulch. Our campus will host the graduation ceremonies for Heritage, Arapahoe and Littleton High Schools, so we want to look our best!

Come on your own or bring a friend or family member!
Saturday, May 7 from 9 am - 2 pm (unless we finish earlier!) Pizza lunch will be provided.

Congratulations to the LPS boys C, JV, and Varsity volleyball teams, who ALL won their matches against Grandview on Tuesday!
With that win and the great wins against Valor, your LPS boys varsity volleyball team is headed to the Regional playoffs! The team will be playing at Discovery Canyon (near the Air Force Academy) at noon on Saturday - make the drive if you can to support our boys!

Congrats to the JV Girls Track Team, who won the League Championship yesterday!

Riley Griffin - Pole Vault and Triple Jump (8th in the 100m)
Sydney Babcock - 300m Hurdles (2nd in 100H, 4th in High Jump)

Lions girls tennis finished the regular season last night against TJ. JV players Anna Jane Geddes, Vananh Phan, Belle Geist, Zora Young, Jacky Lara, Megan Nguyen, and Giselle Fiedler played with grace and heart in their last match of the season! Varsity player of the match was Luci Brendlinger who, with great court awareness, grit, and resolve, beat her opponent 6-1, 7-5. Varsity players will compete in Regionals next week! Good luck, Lions!

CONGRATULATIONS:
The LHS Boys Lacrosse team traveled to Colorado Springs last night and came away with a 13-2 victory over Vanguard. The Lions were led on offense by Dane Price, who scored 6 goals, and on defense by Peter Knoblach with 10 ground balls. On Thursday, the Lions return to action with a home game against Pueblo at 6 PM. Come out to cheer them on!

ACADEMICS:

CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to the LPS boys JV and Varsity volleyball teams, who both won their matches against Valor on Friday! C Team won their match against Bear Creek on Saturday while JV and Varsity played a great match but lost against Bear Creek.

Boys and Girls Track Teams Blow away competition at Elizabeth on Friday! Battling 40 mile-per-hour winds the track teams competed very well with multiple personal records and TUFF performances!
Congrats to the Meet Champions...
The Boys 4x400m Relay made up of Evan Jackson, John Keran, Grady Redding and Howie Marshall.
2nd Place Finishers were:
The Girls 4x400m Relay, Boys 4x800m Relay, Dalana J in Shot Put
3rd Place Finishers included:
Jayla S in Shot Put and the Girls 4x800m Relay
4th and 5th Place Finishers were:
Sophia H in Long Jump, Riley G in Triple Jump, Roman C in the 300m Hurdles, and Both Boys 4x200 & 4x100 Relays
Additional Big Performances included:
Courtney U in the 200m Dash, Kynan H in Discus and Cadence C in Shot Put

Parking
We are just a few weeks away from the end of the year and wanted to give one last parking reminder! Students - you are allowed to park in the following areas: our front parking lot, our tech lot, and our forum and cafeteria lots, and the two rows of parking closest to the stadium in the athletic parking lot. Please know that all other parking spaces in the athletic lot are for staff members. The doors to the Athletic Entrance will be unlocked and monitored from 8:15am - 8:30am. You will need to use the front door to access the building at all other times of the day. This is to keep you safe.
