Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams for their outstanding races this past Saturday at the hilly and difficult Larkspur course! The majority of runners ran their season bests with our Runners of the week being: Varsity Girls - GRACE BRITTAN, Varsity Boys - JORY BAYNE, JV Girls - LONDON ULLRICH and JV Boys - CHIP BOLLENDONK. Congrats to all the runners!!!! Come out to support your runners at Heritage this Friday for the Liberty Bell Invite.


Club Announcements:

Are you feeling any stress from being back in school? Are you having a hard time juggling homework and life? If so, Balance may be for you! Come to the first meeting of Balance today in art room 143 after school. We will do some easy yoga and talk about how this club can help you find Balance this year.

Freshman Class Student Council Ambassador interviews will be held after school from 2:20 until 3:00 pm in room 208 on Tuesday 15th, Wednesday 16th, and Thursday 17th.


Sports Announcements:

Any girls interested in basketball and not participating in fall sports should come to pre-season practices on Tuesday nights from 7:00pm-8:30pm now through November 3rd.

Are you looking for a fun sport for the Winter Season? LHS Girl’s Diving season will be beginning soon! Coach Meg Boland will be in the pool area on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from 2:30-3:00. Stop by to ask questions, get some basic information about the upcoming season, and meet some of the returning divers! Diving is a great sport and our team has a blast! No experience necessary and beginners are welcome!

Can’t make it by on Wednesday? Stop by the main office Thursday, pick up some information, and watch for the upcoming Swimming and Diving informational meeting!


Academic Announcements:

Hey Seniors! Class of 2010 appointments start tomorrow, September 16, in the Post Grad Center. You will receive a notice in class the day before your scheduled meeting… please make every effort to keep your appointment!

CALLING ALL LIONS! Did you know that YOU are the best PR agents for our school? If you can boast about being an LHS student, and show off our school in its unique and diverse ways, YOU should be a LION AMBASSADOR! Ambassadors give tours to prospective students and families, and it’s a cool, fun opportunity to talk about why you LOVE Littleton! Pick up an application from Mrs. Stulock in the IB Department and return it by Friday, Sept. 18.

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be available every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday form 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.

California Institute of Technology will visit today in Post Grad at 11:00am. See Ms. Allen for more information.


Other Announcements:

Jostens will be here next today September 15th and tomorrow Wednesday 16th for graduation orders between 10:00and 1:00 in the Senior hall.

Come on out and grab your shirt so you can wear it to the HOMECOMING ASSEMBLY next week!!
