Student Recognition & Congratulations:

The boys and girls cross country teams had a great start to their 2009 season last Friday and Saturday! The girls team had tight packs in both the Varsity and JV races with the Varsity lead by captains Mackenzie Mitchell and Courtney Berg to a 7th place finish, while the JV was lead by Melissa White and London Ullrich to a 4th place finish. The boys fought hard and were lead by Riley Mulhern and James McNally to 19th and Bret Granrud lead the JV to a 12th place finish. On Saturday Kaylee Witt lead the girls to a 3rd place finish while Dillon Cogdal lead the boys to a 4th place finish.

Congratulations to the LIONS football team with their Victory over Kennedy last Friday night! LIONS scored 45-6

Congratulations to the LIONS Varsity soccer team for a great game with the tying score of 1-1!!
Club Announcements:

The LHS GSA meets today after school in art room 143. We will be electing officers, so if you want to be involved with the Gay Straight Alliance this year, be there!

The LHS Ping Pong club is having its first meeting today, September 8th. Anyone who is interested should stop by room 121 at 2:30 today to have any questions answered and for a free otter pop while supplies last.

DONT FORGET--all freshmen who are planning on run for a student council office position, make sure you get your packet and speech into Ms. Prestel by Wed. Sept. 9th at 3:30 at the very latest!! You need to have all forms approved so you can give your speech on Thurs. Ms Prestel is in the Social Studies office upstairs. Thanks!

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be available every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 6:00p-7:30pm in room 107 starting tonight.
