Student Recognition & Congratulations:

A loud tennis applause to the 1-doubles team of Ben Williamson and Will Stults. At the state tournament, they earned 2 points by beating teams from Grand Junction and George Washington, before losing an excruciatingly close match to Cherry Creek. Well done, gentlemen!

Congratulations to the Sophomore and the Varsity Volleyball Teams who defeated Douglas County High School on Thursday. The varsity won a hard fought battle as they earned their victory with an exciting 5 set match! Laura Whalen and Natasha Habert each contributed 18 and 11 kills respectively, while setter, Annika Hacker contributed 34 assists. Marilyn Drennan earned 5 blocks on the night while Sydney Kramcha tallied 7 kills. Come see the Lady Lions in action on Tuesday as they host their final home match against the visiting Regis Raiders. Then on Thursday, the Lions travel to Heritage for the final regular season match! Good luck this week Lions!

Sports Announcements:

Baseball player/parent meeting will be held Tuesday October 19, 2010 in the cafeteria at 7:00pm.

All boys interested in trying out for basketball come to a short signup meeting at 3pm on Wednesday, Oct. 20 in the team/ISS room across from the north gym.

Academic Announcements:

PLAN, practice ACT test, signups begin Monday, Oct. 18 in the Counseling Office. Test date is Sat., Nov. 6, 7:30 am at LHS. Cost is $20; check made payable to LHS or cash. Space is limited!

Gonzaga University will visit tomorrow Tue October 19, 2010 in Post Grad.

For any junior or senior interested in PSEO, attending College part-time next semester – all applications are due October 25 by 3:00pm to Ms. Geyer. If you have any questions please go to the counseling office.

The clock is ticking! The Stride is coming up this Sunday, October 24. Get the word out- get friends, family and neighbors to sign up for The Stride and make sure Littleton is designated as the school being represented! Other Announcements:

On Thursday, October 21, 2101 Jostens will be here to take orders again. They will be in the senior hall from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If any seniors need a packet they can pick one up in the main office or at student services.
