The JV boy’s soccer team defeated Douglas County yesterday 4 to 2.

Sports Announcements:

Attention Students: When you plan to attend a Home Sporting event, you must have your current Student ID to enter the game. For the IDs marked with “ATH” indicates you have pre-paid for free entry into the games. If the ID does not indicate that or you do not have a current LHS ID you will be charged to enter the game. All athletes of another sport must present their ID or pay to enter the game of a sport you do not play – such as Football players cannot attend a girl’s volleyball game free of charge!!

Cheerleading tryouts for Winter 2010 will be Sept. 27 -30. Interested athletes should see Coach DeAnna Koepke to get on the tryout list and pick up all necessary information.

Academic Announcements:

Juniors and honor sophomores sign-up for the PSAT in the Counseling Office beginning Monday, Sept. 20. Cost is non-refundable $20, cash or check, made out to LHS. Test date is Wed., Oct.13, 7:30 am at LHS.

Seniors: Reminder to please return your completed Diploma Information Form to the Counseling Office before Oct. 1. Extra copies are available in the Counseling Office.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors! If you are interested in information regarding the United States Naval Academy, there will be an information forum Saturday, September 25 at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. Come to the Post Grad Center for more information.

Bring 5 bucks just in you’re not sure if you paid—if you HAVE paid, your name will be marked on our list! The shirts will also be available next Monday and Tuesday during lunches.

HEY ALL YOU STUDDLY GUYS!! WE need you to sign up for your class’s Homecoming Volleyball team!! Sign up in the main office starting today.

TICKETS, TICKETS, TICKETS!! Homecoming tickets will be on sale starting on Monday 20th during lunches then on Tuesday through Friday during lunches AND afterschool. They cost $15 with $1 off if you bring in a NEW school supply for the Musana Orpahange in Africa.

Homecoming Guest forms are available and that they need to be turned in o Student Services by Thursday, September 23rd.

Attention philosophers. This week we’ll be attacking a classic philosophy topic: Do people really have free will? If you have an opinion on that, come and share it. If you don’t know what we mean by free will, come and find out. Anyone is welcome. See you after school today in Room 204.

Open gym will continue tonight for all current and future girls basketball players in the South gym from 7:00-8:30. Anyone interested in playing basketball is welcome to attend on Tuesday and Thursday nights. See you there!”

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Cross Country team for their 6th place finish on Saturday! The girls were lead by Kaela Edwards and Grace Brittan. On the Varsity boys side Garrett Sapakoff finished 15th overall. Max Chandler and Logan Nagal lead the boys JV team and EB Bollendonk and Sara Levoiv lead the girls JV Team.

Congratulations to the Varsity football team for their win over Aurora Central 41-0! Way to go LIONS!!

Club Announcements:

Balance club will be doing yoga today 2:30-3:00. So, wear comfortable clothes and come to the theater lobby after school.

The Rasta Lions Ultimate Frisbee team will be playing CIVA from Colorado Springs today at 3:30. So, bring your Lion pride and come down to the grass practice filed to cheer for your team!
