Club Announcements:

Zumba will be today in the cafeteria after school. Hope to see you there!

Balance meets today after school in art room 143. Wear comfortable clothes for walking or yoga. We will finish up at 3:15.

Did you know 1 in 8 babies are born premature in the US each day and premature birth is the number 1 killer of newborns? This Wednesday, March 16, LHS-FBLA will be collecting loose change to help raise money for the March of Dimes which provides funds for premature babies. Wednesday is Big Baby Bottle Day; one FBLA representative from each class will be carrying a big baby bottle and collecting your loose change. Representatives include: Freshman representative - Gina Tolley, Sophomore representative - Ryan Dinneen, Junior representative - Alex Boyle, and Senior representative - Jia Chu. Find a FBLA representative and give your loose change to save babies.

FBLA reminder: Duffeyrolls will be delivered on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 2:30 pm. Do not forget to come and pick up your rolls before break!

Spring Break is almost here! Start your break off by painting some pottery! This Friday, March 18, show up anytime from 11 am to 9 pm at the Hot Pots Pottery Studio in Downtown Littleton, paint your very own piece of pottery and don't forget to mention you are supporting LHS FBLA! Feed your inner artist!

Sports Announcements:

Cheerleading tryouts for the 2011-2012 squads start today at 4:30 in the south gym. A reminder that the following items are to be turned in to Coach DeAnna Koepke in order to try out: Proof of a current physical - Release of liability - Print out of current grades - Statement of Understanding - Parent Contract. No athletes will be permitted to participate in tryouts without the proper paperwork turned in on time. Good luck to everyone trying out!

Attention all returning volleyball players: There is a mandatory meeting Wednesday March 16th in room 133E at 2:20 sharp. The meeting will have information regarding off season and summer volleyball. Please see coach Whalen or coach Thaut if you cannot attend.

Academic Announcements:

AP STUDENTS: If you have not already done so, you must complete the 2011 AP survey on Naviance, print it out and bring with your payment, cash or check, to the Counseling Office no later than 3 pm Thurs., March 17. Late fees will be applied after that time.

Special Events:

Singin' A Cappella for Emily!
Come hear the sweet sounds of the CU Buffoons as they perform a benefit concert for cancer patient and Littleton community member Emily Wilson. This concert, sponsored by LHS Key Club, will be held on the LHS Mane Stage, Thursday, March 17 at 7:00pm. All proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Aurora on Emily’s behalf. Tickets are $5 for students/kids, $7 for adults. Don't miss the opportunity to hear great music while supporting Emily through this difficult time. Hope to see you there!


LHS NIGHT WITH THE NUGGETS!! Don’t forget to pick up a blue flier in the main office and fill it out to go to the Nuggets night for LHS on March 30th. This is a special night to honor all of our 9th and 10th graders taking CSAPS as well as to benefit the Musana Orphanage in Uganda. The tickets are a great deal--$27.50 for a ticket, t-shirt and drink! So, get your friends and family together to come to this fun event!! IF you have any other questions, see Ms Prestel in the Social Studies office. Let’s go LIONS!
