Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Littleton High School DECA organization on their tremendous showing and accomplishments at the 2011 State Leadership Competition Conference held this week in Colorado Springs. The chapter sent 40 students to the competition represented Littleton High School in a very professional and successful manner. LHS held three 2nd place awards, four 3rd place awards and two 6th place awards. In addition, five students qualified for the International DECA Conference in Orlando, Florida in April. Way to go LIONS!

Club Announcements:

Philosophers. We’ll meet for a short meeting today after school to debrief last week’s film: Man From Earth along with any other topics that come up. This meeting will end at 3:15 today.

FBLA Officers: We have an officer meeting today at 2:20 pm in room 124. We have to finalize state plans and plan for some spring activities. See you then!

FBLA members: keep selling your Duffeyrolls! We have one more week in our sale. Remember that your order forms and all money are due on Wednesday, March 9. We will have a regular meeting on Thursday, March 10th.

Sports Announcements:

A reminder to anyone trying out for cheerleading, there is a mandatory parent meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Rm. 131. All program policies and tryout details will be covered at this meeting and all required tryout paperwork will be distributed as well. Be sure you have a parent there!

Cheerleading tryout prep class will be held tonight from 7 - 8 p.m. in the south gym. This is the last one before tryouts, so be sure to attend!

Academic Announcements:

Signups are still available in the Counseling Office for the swim test on Tues., March 8, 7:30 or 9:30 am. Criteria sheets are available when you sign-up.
AP Students: Please do not wait to sign-up and pay for your AP tests. Students need to bring a copy of their receipt from Naviance to the Counseling Office when signing up, checks payable to LHS or cash.

Hi Lions! Have you, your parents or anyone else you know volunteered time for any programs at Littleton High? Did you know our school gets credit from the district for all of the volunteer hours that are contributed on behalf of LHS? Start keeping track and getting those volunteer hours to our PTO…every little bit counts! Please email your volunteer hours to ROSALIEMARTIN@live.com.
