Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball team with their blowout over Mead HS 24-0. Dane Donegan pitched a no-hitter! Way to go Lions!

Congratulations to the girl's varsity soccer team on their 3 and 0 start to the season. They have scored 15 goals and not conceded any and are currently joint top of the Continental League! Wish them luck as they travel to Evergreen on Thursday. Congratulations are also due to the JV and C teams on their undefeated starts to the season. Well done ladies!

Club Announcements:

Green Club is today!! We’ll be recycling AND painting the compost bin. Should be fun!! Teachers, please remember to put your blue recycling bins in the hallway after school. Thank you!

Last chance to pick up CSAP gift cards---the following students need to see MS Prestel in the Social Studies office RIGHT after school either Wednesday or Thursday to pick up their CSAP gift cards: Paul Thiel, Gabe Brown, Eric Cardona and Katie Hranchak. If not, some other lucky student will win them!! Thanks!

Did you know 1 in 8 babies are born premature in the US each day and premature birth is the number 1 killer of newborns? Today is Big Baby Bottle Day; one FBLA representative from each class will be carrying a big baby bottle and collecting your loose change to help raise money for the March of Dimes which provides funds for premature babies. Here’s a chance to empty your pockets to help save babies.

FBLA reminder: Duffeyrolls will be delivered tomorrow at 2:30 pm. Do not forget to come and pick up your rolls before break!

Spring Break is almost here! Start your break off by painting some pottery! This Friday, March 18, show up anytime from 11 am to 9 pm at the Hot Pots Pottery Studio in Downtown Littleton, paint your very own piece of pottery and don't forget to mention you are supporting LHS FBLA! Feed your inner artist!

Sports Announcements:

Attention all returning volleyball players: There is a mandatory meeting today in room 133E at 2:20 sharp. The meeting will have information regarding off season and summer volleyball. Please see coach Whalen or coach Thaut if you cannot attend.

Academic Announcements:

Attention all seniors participating in Life 101: This is a reminder that we will meet for our 3rd seminar tonight from 6-8 p.m. in the LHS Library. Hope to see you there!

Juniors wanting to sign-up for the ZAPS/RMASS ACT Prep class, information was mailed from the company this past week. Scholarships are available; please check with Mrs. Allen in Post Grad if you are interested.

AP STUDENTS: If you have not already done so, you must complete the 2011 AP survey on Naviance, print it out and bring with your payment, cash or check, to the Counseling Office no later than 3 pm tomorrow. Late fees will be applied after that time.

Special Events:

Singin' A Cappella for Emily!
CU Buffoons will perform a benefit concert for cancer patient and Littleton community member Emily Wilson. This concert, sponsored by LHS Key Club, will be held on the LHS Mane Stage, Thursday, March 17 at 7:00pm. All proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Aurora on Emily’s behalf. Tickets are $5 for students/kids, $7 for adults. Don't miss the opportunity to hear great music while supporting Emily through this difficult time. Hope to see you there!

LHS NIGHT WITH THE NUGGETS is on March 30th. The tickets are a great deal--$27.50 for a ticket, t-shirt and drink! See Ms Prestel in the Social Studies office with any questions. Let’s go LIONS!
