Greetings Philosophers: Philosophy Club will not be meeting this Thursday. Again, Philosophy Club is cancelled this week. Please feel free to email Mr. Ball for topic ideas for next week and we’ll see you then.

FBLA Members: We will have a special election meeting tomorrow at 2:20 pm in room 124. We will hear speeches from our officer candidates and conduct voting by secret ballot. Please come so that your vote counts toward our officer team for next year! See you then!

Greetings LHS: As part of the Remember the Forgotten Activities the Peace Jam Club is challenging all classes to a fundraising competition to support the Alliance for the Lost Boys of Sudan and its GOATS Program which stands for “Give Others the Ability To Survive” . This program helps families at risk in South Sudan; the goat provides food, fertilizer, and offspring that can be raised and sold for profit to improve the family’s economic security. If every student donates a dollar, LHS could give 20 goats to needy families in South Sudan. Forgo the purchase of a $1 soda for a day and help a family for years to come! Collection envelopes will be available in the library and at Mr. Gordon’s desk in the Social Studies office. Have a great day! The Peace Jam Club

Remember, anyone who picked up a Student Council officer or ambassador packet get your recommendation sheets to your teachers and your biography sheets to Ms Prestel by Tuesday May 3rd! Also, don’t forget to get your campaign signs up, so kids can see who to vote for!
