Freshmen Student Council officer candidates - don’t forget to get your speech and other paperwork into Ms Prestel in the Social Studies office by the end of the day Thursday! You can put it on her desk if she is not there—if you do not have the paperwork in, you cannot run for office. Thanks!

Sports Announcements:

All students attending the upcoming sporting events this year – football, soccer, volleyball - need to bring their student ID to receive student entry price of $3. If you do not have your current student ID, you will be charged the adult price of $5. If your current ID indicates you paid for an athletic pass at registration, you can enter the game without charge.

Come watch the Lions Varsity Soccer team play tonight at 4:00 in the LPS stadium against Kennedy High School. Hope to see you there. Go Lions!

Academic Announcements:

JUNIORS & SENIORS: Are you enthusiastic and knowledgeable about LHS? Would you like to give tours to prospective students and parents? Consider becoming a LION AMBASSADOR! Stop by the counseling office for an application and return it to Mrs. Stulock by Thursday, Sept. 8.

Swim Test at Heritage-Open to ALL LPS students: Tuesday, September 27, 2011 @ 2:30 p.m., at the HHS pool. Sign up September 19-26 by contacting Sheri Rossing at 303-347-7645, Extension 6692 starting September 19 (no sooner). Students must provide full name, school, grade, phone number and name of their counselor. Specific criteria regarding the requirements for the swim test are available in the counseling office or on the LHS website.

Other Announcements:

Lions Share is seeking your help in donating school supplies for students in need in the LHS community. All supplies are welcome especially pens, pencils, notebooks, paper and backpacks. We also need gift cards from Walmart, King Soopers, Target, Kmart, etc. Donations can be dropped off in the Counseling Office or mailed to LHS.
