Academic Announcements:

On Monday 14 November there will be a general info meeting for everyone interested in auditioning for the musical, Guys and Dolls! ...Sigh, remember when men were guys and women were dolls? Us neither, but it's one heck of a fun show! The meeting is Monday after school in the theatre, and auditions are the Monday after Thanksgiving break. If you cannot attend the meeting, all info will be on the callboard outside of 146!

Club Announcements:

Best of luck to the 52 members of the LHS Speech and Debate Team who will be competing this afternoon and all day tomorrow at the Cherry Creek Tournament!

Hey students, ever wonder how you can help folks less fortunate than you in other countries? Next week you will get your chance! On Tuesday of International Week there will be an International Market in the front lobby where you can buy goods from Uganda, South Africa, the Congo and Rwanda just to name a few. The prices are very reasonable and go directly to the women and children who make the goods. So, bring a little extra spending money on Tuesday and spend it for a worthy cause, while getting an amazing product in return!

Sports Announcements:

If you missed the unified basketball meeting please see Mrs. Encinias or Mrs. Stukey in room 106 for an application. Practice starts Monday Nov. 14th at 7pm in the north gym.

Special Events:

Hey Lion’s –Lion’s Follies Variety show will be on stage tonight and tomorrow at 7:00pm! Today is the last chance to get your ticket for only $5.00 during lunches in the CafĂ© and after school at the box office. Qdoba is offering flyers that enable the LHS Student buyer to get a free drink with an entre purchase and $1 of their purchase will be given to Student Council for Prom—you must bring the flyer into Qdoba to get the deal. Your ticket stub is worth a discount at Yogo Mojo. Saturday’s show will have a drawing for an iPod nano. The PTO Dessert Bar will open at 5:30pm both nights in the LHS lobby and will sell baked goods through intermission. All Dessert Bar proceeds go to support After Prom expenses. And reason #1 why you should attend the 2011 Lion’s Follies: Littleton Lion’s are guaranteed a first place finish.

Students: If you do not have a computer at home, there are free computers available. If interested, please stop by the main office and speak with Mrs. Mashak.

The Littleton Public Schools Foundation is sponsoring a night of hockey for all LPS schools, and tickets are only $24! All seats will have a value of $40-$100. See the link on the LHS website, and make sure you give Littleton the credit for your purchase... our shool will recieve $2 from the sale of each ticket. It's Win-Win!!! Go Lions! Go Avalanche!

Veteran’s Day spotlight: The United States Air Force is a branch of the U.S. military. Its primary function is to operate land-based aerial combat forces for the American government. Its secondary function is to provide land-based search and rescue operations within the continental United States. The United States Air Force is believed to be the largest and best equipped air combat force in the world. The Air Force mission "is to deliver sovereign options for the defense of the United States of America and its global interests to fly and fight in air, space and cyberspace." Space and cyberspace are recent evolutions to the Air Force mission. Since its creation, the Air Force has gone from propeller airplanes to jets to sending Air Force astronauts into space. The United States Air Force currently has 329,638 active duty personnel. Leading us today in the Pledge is Mr. Ron Mangum. Mr. Mangum served in the United States Air Force for 20 years.
